Fit perfectly, quality product. Works as intended. Replace this when replacing the thermostat. As well as new gasket. This and thermostat install aren't for the the faint of heart or the inexperienced home mechanic as it's a complex job requiring lots of disassembly. Recommend this product.

Clean and smooth construction. Appears to be one continuous piece. A much better product than compared to the $9 standard model at a major auto parts store. I could have special ordered this brand from the auto parts store, but Amazon price was amazing. And now that I hold both side by side, I would have paid more for the Dorman quality any day. We are not talking that much money anyway. I wish they did a better job of displaying the quality build of this Dorman. I will post a picture of the difference.     • Perfect fit - Fixed leaking issues
This Dorman thermostat housing is much better than the factory piece and was a perfect fit on my 2001 dodge ram with the 5.2l V8. I found my original thermostat housing leaking, so i replaced the thermostat and gasket. After about 2 days, the new gasket had already blown out and was leaking again (common problem on these engines). So after comparing the Dorman with the factory piece, i noticed the lip on the Dorman that sits on the gasket is much taller, therefore is seals much better and will prevent gasket failure. So far, ive had it on for over a week without any issues. Highly recommend! ... show more

It fits perfectly in the water intake of my zj 98 uses 318 engine I'm sorry of lower quality than the original but it was much more economical, I liked to screw the screws and a better quality gasket for a good seal.

Water inlet fit my 01 dodge ram 1500 5.2. The position of the thermostat is a little hard to get to. I had to swing the alternator out of the way to change this thermostat. Not too difficult. Took about 30 minutes.
