I expected more from a Dorman product. The headlight assembly did come with a bulb and locking ring but the fit was loose. The area for the locking ring looks like it was molded with a hot knife (see pics). The area where the bulb sits is uneven and needed to be filed flat. The lower clips that snap into the adjusters are too tight. I think the problem with the clips is the hole is not uniform (see pic). I used a drill bit (by hand) to enlarge the rear of the hole in order to reuse the factory clips that I cut out of the old headlight. I cut out the clips from the Dorman headlight as they are near impossible to remove without damage. I had replaced the driver side assembly with another brand and the fit and finish was excellent and cheaper. You may ask why i did not return....time was an issue and the old lens was broken. We recently ordered the drivers side and it was perfect. The lens was so clear that we decided to replace the passenger side so they matched, as it had worn over time since 1997. Unfortunately for the passenger side, the mounting attachments are the wrong size, and do not click into place properly, so the light is loose. I will be returning. Note: this is the second passenger side one we purchased with this issue. The first one, was not installed prior to the return window closing. We ordered the second one hoping it would fit properly and we would take the loss for procrastinating on the first one. ... show more

First off, Amazon's review process sucks. Tried to upload the pictures and it dumped my whole review. Had to start over. But I digress! SO if I had not read other people’s comments (on blogs not on Amazon reviews) on what they encountered during the installation process I would never have got these to install and would've returned them. The whole installation process took at least an hour to accomplish for something that if designed correctly should take a few minutes at most. The two bottom clips (the picture is of the top clip) have to be heated up with a hot air gun in order to get them to install. Even then, I was using so much force to get them to slide onto the adjustment poles that it felt like I was going to crack the headlight lens. Crazy! You have to use a punching force, not just push them on in order to get them to install. Using the heat gun was the only thing that worked and had I not known that, as I stated before, they would've been returned. The upper clip that the pictures are of, broke and I had to use the old 25 year old clip otherwise again, I would've had to return them. By the way, you have to remove the upper clip from the headlight and install it on the adjustment pole first otherwise you will not get it to slide onto the pole either! Dorman needs to change/update the material used on the lower clips. Its a clear plastic that had no stretch to it. The old OE clips is a gray looking plastic that seems to have more give to it. Seem well made. Might be slightly thinner plastic than original. Originals were totally yellow. Tried restoring them, but still didn't look good. Then both were filled with water. These look great, can finally see again at night. Came with bulbs too.

All of the clips on this light are extremely hard and rigid plastic, not at all mailable like the original clips. This causes MANY broken pieces during installation. I tried multiple times to gently but firmly press it onto the mounting screws but it would not go on no matter what I did. I ended up using a little more force (but not a ton) and it ended up shattering the horizontal adjustment screw housing as well as breaking another stabilization screw away from the housing on that side. I called the dealership looking for replacement parts for what broke and they have discontinued the pieces, so my only option is now to go to a junkyard and hope I can find the needed pieces. I'm now left with 2 of 3 screws broken, no headlight at all and a vehicle I can't drive until it all gets fixed! Absolutely do NOT purchase this!!! ... show more
