I brought this bed for my 8 and a half year old son and I am very pleased with this purchase! I am a woman who assembles furniture herself and this bed was easy to assemble as the instructions were clear. A customer who wrote a review suggested using a Philip's head screwdriver to hold the cam nuts in place while screwing in the nails in the side rails....that was helpful advice as the cam nuts tend to move as you screw in the nails on the side rails The bed is beautiful and sturdy. I have slept with him and the combo weight of us together is 207 lbs. I used wood glue on each end of the wooden slats before screwing the nails in to ensure that the 7 slats would be extra secure. We're using a bunkie board as a base and on top of the wooden slats for his 12 inch memory foam mattress in place of a boxspring to keep the bed low-profile. I recommend this bed for children and as a bed for adults in a guest bedroom. ... show more

We already had the loft bed and needed a bed frame for underneath. I ordered this bed frame, it fit the bill great - simple design, low footboard, platform, great price (I got it for $120)!! In the description it said the bed is white. Our loft bed is an off white so I was expecting to paint the new bed frame but its color is more of an off white and it matched our existing bedroom furniture perfectly! It was very easy to put together. The only negative thing is I wish it had more slats so the spacing would be tighter for better support for the foam mattress. I plan to pick up some inexpensive furring strips to add more slats. An easy fix. ... show more

Good quality bed, I'm satisfied with it. There were a few minor cosmetic issues, but most of them were easily able to be covered by the mattress. It fits a standard twin mattress perfectly and my son is super excited to sleep in his new bed tonight. I really appreciated the spacers included by the manufacturer (item J). They worked perfectly and made installing the slats a breeze. Anyone claiming the wood split during assembly were probably using a power tool... please note that the instructions say to use a screwdriver! Most pieces like this are meant to be tightened by hand, the wood is a softwood and can't handle the force from a power driver. The screws went in smoothly and easily with just a regular old philips screwdriver and average strength. My only complaint with assembly was the screws for the headboard - they were super difficult to tighten. On the flip side, I'm not worried about them coming loose or being unstable haha.     • Straightforward to Assemble

We purchased two of these for our kids room, it took me almost 4 hours to do BOTH of the beds - so about 2 hours to assemble each bed WITHOUT a power drill. Use a power drill with a Phillips + a monkey wrench (whatever bit that is) and cut your time in half. Instructions were clear and it was very straightforward. Two people would also make this go a lot faster for holding boards together etc. But the bed is adorable, as pictured, sturdy and what we expected. It’s not a pure bright white as expected, it’s got a teeny tiny bit of cream to it if that matters to you. The kids room lacks natural light so it is unnoticeable. It’s subtle. Totally worth it! Bought this frame for my son and it was exactly what he needed! He loves it! It’s so perfect for him! I’m even thinking about buying a second one for my daughter! The only issue we have is the wood that holds the mattress must be very flimsy and ended up breaking the same day we got it. We will be putting more wood down hopefully the rest don’t break much. Great purchase, easy assembly, included everything you need for assembly. There are barely noticeable scratches on the bed (the paint has peeled off), but we decided not to return the bed, since the scratches are almost invisible and they do not spoil the appearance. Our son is very happy.

    • The first slat broke less than 24 hrs after assembly

The frame went to gather fairly easily. Everything is marked & the instructions are clear. That said the slats are crazy far apart! You’ll need a box spring, bunky board, or a set of vertical slats on top. Plus one of the middle slats broke within the first day of by my kiddo! Less than 24 hrs is a pretty crappy lifespan I’m disappointed, but I alas have no idea how to return it since it’s fully assembled ... show more
