Installed these on windows and a door. The alarm didn’t go off every time the two pieces became separated. I would not recommend them.

This works as expected and as described. There is an easy to operate switch that turns on and off. The profile fits my door and windows well. My only reason for not giving five stars is that the provided adhesive is not strong enough to stay on for all of the alarms, even though I cleaned the surfaces all the same before sticking them up. One continues to fall off the window. Some product enhancements, it would be nice to have a clearer On/Off indicator. Not necessary though. ... show more

You get what you pay for. I wouldn’t trust these for any real home security. The adhesive just isn’t strong enough—they fall off after only a couple of days, especially with changes in hot or cold weather (which is ironic, since they’re made to go on windows). I’ve decided it’s worth spending the extra $30 for a set you can actually rely on. FYI: when they fall off in the middle of the night, the dog barks, the cat freaks out, and you end up stumbling around half-asleep trying to figure out what’s going on.
