  • A great entry level integrated power amp/receiver
Size: 2 CH, 600W
I bought this integrated receiver for a friend in payment for a stack of vinyl. I paired it with a pair of Technics 3 way floor speakers I had in the attic. Don't get me wrong, i know this is entry level. Of that I have no illusions. But I also think this might be an up and coming audio equipment provider. It literally ticked all the boxes. We threw every input at it. CD transport, Turntable, Bluetooth and an toslink from his TV. We don't do much radio but it does work. The remote is a full function remote and you can control all functions at the deck. This unit provides individual volume knobs to control balance. Tones controls including mid. The only function we didn't try was the mic feature (don't have one). For an unknown brand this unit checks all the boxes. It is very well built. It has the weight you would expect from a power amp. It drives these large floor speakers without breaking a sweat. It also takes up minimal counter space. Most importantly, it literally made my friend cry tears of joy and the smile on his face was priceless as is the cost of this little guy. If you want to make a very low cost entry into the audiophile world, grab this amp and support a company before they are widely known. ... show more

  • If you want to dip your toes.....
Size: 2 CH, 600W
.... into two channel stereo systems, this is a good one to start with. Amazon offers the Sony 2 channel at $249.00 and for that price you can buy this little gem and a pair of speakers and only have to add a turntable or DVD/CD player. I have two pairs of Jamo speakers hooked up ( S 803 bookshelves/ S 805 small towers stacked) to this receiver with an old JVC DVD player and I am quite impressed with the performance. The only reason for the four stars is that the info only states that it is 2 spkrs @ 60 wpc, and with 2 pr it doesn't tell you if that is in series or parallel which would mean 4 Ohm or 16 Ohm. and a little nitpick is that there is no dimmer for the display which is like a nightlight in the dark. Overall the reason I picked this up is the dual volume control and the mid range adjustment ( a lot of the old school vintage had mid control ) and the old school look with all the knobs instead of push buttons. On longevity only time will tell, but it does use a Toroidal power supply, which a lot of higher end makers have used/ use, so that says something. Like I said above, with the price of this and a pair of speakers it beats the Sony 2 channel at its single price point. I do have two other systems ( I won't bother you with specifics ) and recently added the Fluance Elite speakers that only run at $149.00 a pair ( I bought a return pair cheaper ). they are what audiophiles call a " bright " speaker, meaning the highs ( treble ) can be annoying, but they are 92 db efficient which means they play " louder " at lower volumes.and you can turn down the treble anyways. If you decide on this and a pair of speakers, when looking on the speaker page you check the box for 8 Ohm only as most of the smaller/ cheaper speakers are 4 Ohm, and if you hook up two pair they need to be at least 8 Ohm, otherwise you could damage both the speakers/amp. A big bonus is the full function remote, you cannot only adjust the volume, but you can change modes and bass/mid/treble from your listening position without getting up. Hope this helps with someone on starting their journey with 2 channel hifi components. Happy listening. ... show more

  • Bass won’t thump you, but your wallet will live you
Size: 2 CH, 600W
For the money, I’m happy, everything seems to be working good. It was delivered without damage. I have it in the garage to listen to tunes and talk radio so it’s just a basic tuner serving a basic purpose. The bass will not thump you in the chest but if your experience are in line with the price, you should be happy with the product. ... show more

  • Great Performance for the price
Size: 2 CH, 600W
Great receiver for the money , it has a small footprint and more than enough power to blast my Bose studio monitor speakers, which was my major concern. It easily connects to my iPhone via Bluetooth so I can also steam my music from my phone too. I bought it to hook up to a turntable and it was easy to connect because it has a phono input . A also bought a Denon DP-29F turntable and I’m really pleased with the performance of this combination just add speakers and the price for this set up is hard to beat for the power output. ... show more
