What's NOT to like?! Connects reliably and wirelessly to my iPad Air 4. While some of the onboard sounds might be a bit cheesy, they can all be altered with 32 different algorithms. Combine that with outboard effects and it offers a vast pallet of sounds. I don't really use that capability much but the Bluetooth and the dual banks of pads, encoders and sliders are game changers.     • Old School Synth Sounds With USB Midi Controller
The media could not be loaded. The Donner Starrykey-37 Keyboard Controller is a dual purpose keyboard. You can play the 128 built-in old school synthesizer sounds and tweak the parameters to modify the sounds and save them. You can also press the patch button to turn off the internal synth sounds and use the StarryKeyy-37 as a USB Midi controller with you computer DAW/Sequencer software. The Eight Knobs, four Faders and sixteen trigger pads are all programmable using the free software editor. Please see the software tip below so that you can edit the StarryKey-37 with the Correct Editor. Software Tip: The official Donner Control Editor didn’t recognize my Starrykey-37 Play keyboard, but I found an easy workaround. The M-Vave MK-37 uses the same underlying hardware, so I downloaded the M-Vave MidiSuite Editor from their website and it detected the keyboard instantly. The editor even displays “Donner” inside the interface. If you’re having trouble getting the Donner software to connect, this alternative editor works perfectly for customizing the pads, knobs, faders, and velocity settings. Overall I give the StarryKey-37 keyboard a rating of 4 out of 5 stars. I wish the keys were larger and there were a few glitches with some of the sounds. The sensitivity of the trigger pads is good but not great for fast roll type drumming technique. Best value for how much you get... Better than anything else in its price range. It can even work as a chord/melody creator with the built in sounds and sequencer. I have also imported custom DX7 libraries from Dexed.

I bought this as a gift and my husband loves it, it’s very versatile and complete. It has a bunch of different functions and it connects to the program he uses on the computer, so great! Recommend it!

It's the mvave smk37pro but for donner but it does have an issue with the sequencer.... There's a sound that shouldn't be there when activated other than that it's good

    • Nice MIDI controller with built-in FM synth
It's a nice MIDI controller and works well. It was easy to set up and worked immediately upon plugging in. The built-in FM synth is neat. However, the keyboard itself has a rather cheap feel to it, though. I wound up sending it back because it was an impulse purchase and I couldn't justify keeping it for how much I spent on it. Also, I wanted the green one but it was out of stock lol ... show more

I bought this for my grandson and he loves it. The sound quality is excellent, it is easy to use and the value for the money was amazing. He showed us what he could do with the keyboard and the functions was easy to use and the sound quality was amazing. I had read reviews of two others he sent me that were terrible but this one has wonderful quality and the keyboard quality makes it easy to use. ... show more
