This was a gift to my granddaughter. She has a very basic knowledge of the piano, so this was perfect. The sound quality thru the headphones is seriously good. As a beginner, the weighted keys is valuable for her. We connected it to her phone, so now the hunt is on to find a way to make this something valuable for her. This is a piece of furniture wherever you put it. It was easy to assemble and a good value for your money. So far it seems to be sturdy enough. My granddaughter really loves it and we love it since she can play all she wants with the headphones and I can still watch TV!

Sound quality wasn’t what I had hoped for

My two granddaughters, ages 7 and 5, love this piano! I was amazed how nicely it sounds in the room. I also bought the strip that goes over the keys so they can figure out the notes they need. They’re having a great time! I also bought a double bench so they both could sit and play duets!

The media could not be loaded. This is a seriously impressive keyboard. The keys feel nicely weighted and give that real piano-style response. The built-in speakers are great too. They get loud, sound clean, and don’t crack even at higher volumes. It comes with a three-foot sustain pedal that plugs right in, a wooden stand, and a sheet holder on top where you can place music or a tablet. I plan to keep my tablet there for tutorials or to just mess around with songs. The stand setup took about 10 minutes. I used a drill since it didn’t come with a screwdriver, and that made the setup a little easier. One thing to note is the stand connects to the keyboard with four screws at the top, so you’d have to unscrew it if you want to take the keyboard off. Toggle the FX button and you get some light reverb and vibrato, which adds a nice ambience to your tones. There are also tons of tones and sounds here, from synths and strings to chimes and even guitar voices. It’s fun to experiment with and there’s a lot of variety. Make sure to check out my demo video if you want a better idea of how this keyboard works and how the tones sound. I’m mainly a guitarist, but I like to noodle around on keys and sketch out ideas here and there. Before this I had a couple of cheaper keyboards, but I don’t see myself ordering another one anytime soon. This one feels right, covers everything I need, and I’m set with the DEP-16 for the long run. For the price, it’s a complete setup with the stand, pedal, and full weighted 88 keys. It’s got a modern look, the build feels solid, and the tones are really impressive. All things considered, this is a really great keyboard and I would definitely recommend it.
