I spent months researching which big girl bed I wanted to get my five-year-old. I kept coming back to this one, but some concerns I had made me hesitate. First, I was a bit worried about the ladder. My daughter is not an adept climber. But now that’s it’s here and built, I realize that I was concerned for nothing. She gets up and down just fine. It’s a low loft. The height is perfect. Standing up, I can lean in and kiss my daughter goodnight with no problem and I’m only 5’4.” I also don’t need to worry about her safety if she has to get down in the dark to pee in the middle of the night. My second concern was that the description here on Amazon has the bed listed as “cappuccino/zebra” while the photo shows a white bed. I wanted the white, and the reviews weren’t giving me a solid answer on whether or not I would receive the bed in the description or the one in the photo. I rolled the dice, ordered the “cappuccino/zebra,” and thankfully, a white bed arrived! Hooray! My daughter LOVES this bed, so much that the past few nights, she’s asked to go to sleep at 6PM and actually did, never once coming out of her room. Overall, It took my husband and son about 5 hours to put together. No problems arose. All parts were there. No nicks or damage. Paint job is beautiful. So far, the bed is sturdy and exactly as described. I moved the dresser across the room to make a little fort underneath. We put up Christmas lights and my daughter is in heaven. It’s her new favorite place to hang out. If I had this bed when I was little kid, my parents would’ve had to drag me out from under it. It really is cool and surprisingly spacious. I was able to sit up comfortably underneath. The dresser is small but the drawers are roomy and held the same amount of clothing that her previous did, and it was twice the size on the outside. The desk itself is sturdy but does move too much on its wheels since it’s meant to slide in and out. My husband is going to just anchor it in place, an easy fix. I’m so glad I decided on this bed. I just adore it and wholehearted recommend.

Sure, everyone wants the best furniture in their house constructed of solid wood. Yet, throwing $2-3k for a bedroom set for our toddler was just not possible or really even smart. Plus, with our upcoming need to make room to add a crib in the same room we knew we needed to save as much space as possible. After reading over all the reviews on the Donco kids low loft bed we knew this was the right product for us, even if there was some concern on the holes not lining up properly. The bed arrived in multiple heavy boxes (you'll definitely want some help to get them inside and into the bedroom you're building this in). The instructions provided were clear and easy to understand and the hardware was always connected to each box via highly visible red rape. Oh, if you still have that second person handy I recommend you keep the around to help you build the bed frame portion of the build as it can be tricky to get everything to balance. The dresser and bookself portion of the build are easy enough to put together yourself. All in all, it took two of us about four hours to assemble it all. Every predrilled hole lined up perfectly and we had no missing hardware of any kind. Now, the real plus of this product. We were able to get rid of a dresser, a bookcase, a toy bin, and a daybed and replace it with just this one piece of furniture. I can't believe just how much of a space saver this low lofted bed is. Oh, and our daughter loves it. Note, we have not yet installed the desk portion yet so that's the only thing I cannot yet review. Yet, with how smoothly the rest of the build went and the quality behind it I have no concerns! In the end, this bed set exceeded my expectations and I've recommended it to our friends.

The bed looks exactly how it looks in the picture. The bed came in four boxes, one for the bed, one for the desk, one for the bookcase and one for the dresser. I liked that they were separate because it made assembly easier. The bed is also pretty sturdy, it’s not a cheap feeling bed. Assembly was pretty simple once you figure out what pieces are which. One thing that I did not like was the fact that the pieces were not labeled (I took a marker and marked the pieces myself on the bottom of the pieces, which helped greatly) not coming with the pieces labeled was disappointing. I also didn’t like the fact that you can almost see every connection point which is held together by a screw, so there is a lot of the backs of silver screws showing. THose are my only two complaints and had the pieces came labeled and if the bed came with some white circular stickers to cover all the screw insertions I would’ve given a perfect five. But it is perfect for my 7 year old and great value.

I have done a lot of research before ordering this bed. After reading all reviews and seeing images of finished product, I have decided to take a chance and get it. And I am glad that I did!!! Upon arrival, we have discovered that somewhere in the transit hardware for bed itself fell out....which was not a big surprise considering in what state the box arrived in. I guess "FRAGILE" on the box doesn't mean much to delivery guys. Anyway, I have contacted the seller ( stores123 ) and explained what has happened. Within few days we have received replacement hardware and were able to put everything together. Bed is just the right size for my 3 year old and she loves going up and down. Dresser doesn't look big, but has plenty of space for all her clothes. Book shelf holds all her books and there is still some room for her art supplies. She loves playing in her "private spot" which is under the bed when the desk is pulled out....enough room for her and her toys :) Overall, product has exceeded my expectations and I'm very happy with my purchase. Well made product worth of every cent. And a special thank you to Amri from customer service for a quick resolution of our issue :)))

my daughter had this bed for almost 7 years from age 3 to 9 years old almost 10. it has been a wonderful bed. She’s turning 10 so I’m giving her room a refresh and we’re changing to a full bed, but I have loved this bed and enjoyed it for the last almost 7 years lasted and was great.

For the money, I don't think you can beat this bed. It arrived in 3 business days (w/ free shipping). Was packed well in 4 boxes. You assemble it in steps. The dresser, bookshelf, and desk each take about 45-60 minutes to unbox and assemble. The bed takes about the same, but requires a second set of hands. The entire process takes about 4 hours. The instructions are easy to follow and and the hardware is clearly labeled. I used a Bosch 12-volt driver (Bosch CLPK22-120 12-Volt Lithium-Ion 2-Tool Combo Kit (Drill/Driver and Impact Driver) with 2 Batteries, Charger and Case) to speed things up. Using the included wrench would probably add an hour or more to your assembly time. The quality of the unit is fine. The finish is smooth and consistent. It didn't have any cracks or other issues. It has a few creaks if you move it around, but that is to be expected at this price point. My 4 year old loves it and it's a major space saver. I highly recommend it.

Do NOT buy this bed or anything from OJ Commerce. OJ Commerce does not help with any issues for the bed. They are rude and not helpful. The dresser holes do not line up and parts arrived bent. OJ Commerce will NOT help you. The dresser is a piece of garbage. The instructions are horrible. If you follow them and have the loft bed with desk, you will find in the very last step, that the supports for the desk should have been installed in Step 1. No mention of this until the last box for the desk, which were the last instructions. This took 8 hours to complete. If you decide to buy this, then add on the “expert installation”, because you can’t after the fact. To OJ Commerce, you claim on your company website that “OJCommerce is committed to 100% customer satisfaction”…. After a month of back and forth with OJ Commerce they closed my case. No, I am not satisfied and you should remove statements on your website if you’re not truly committed. Shame on you. Home Depot sells this bed as well and I’m sure they would have taken care of this on the first message.

I think having reasonable expectations goes a long way when you’re buying items that have to be assembled, and you know aren’t solid wood. That being said, this item exceeded my expectations. The drawer, table, and bookcase were the cheaper composite wood I expected with a veneer finish. The drawers instructions were by far the hardest to follow. All other instructions were very clear and easy to follow. The loft bed was made of solid pine, and feels very very sturdy. It’s the perfect height and still allows me to tuck my daughter in at night. The directions were so easy, and took two people exactly one hour to put together. I love that the loft, table, drawers, and bookcase came in separate boxes and were labeled 1 of 4 etc. Unfortunately, box 4 of 4 got lost in the Black Friday and holiday madness, but this seller was EXTREMELY quick to make things right. I didn’t have to plead my case, I just stated what was wrong and they shipped out its replacement quicker than I anticipated.
