This pillow really works well for me. I use a CPAP and sleep on my side a lot. Side sleeping tends to dislodge a CPAP mask and cause leaks. This pillow feels so good when I lie flat on my back, that I now spend very little time on my side. I'm sleeping more efficiently, with less messing around with a leaky mask because I'm so comfortable, and so still, while on my back. It's also pretty good when I'm on my side as well. The unique shape nestles my head comfortably and causes me to toss and turn far less. The Donama is a revelation for me! One thing that may be a slight negative for some (nor for me), is that the foam is not memory foam. It's made of a regular foam that springs back to shape instantly. The density is just right, and I can't imagine that memory foam would be any more comfortable, but...just so you know.

Before using this pillow I was struggling finding the right position to place my head for sleep. It felt like with every way I lay my head down, the next morning I'd wake up with a stiff neck and aches. I gave this pillow a try and it shapes your head into a neutral position whether if you're a side sleeper or back sleeper. A while later those aches went away and I started having more peaceful rests at night. I love the cover it comes with also, very soft. However I haven't used other pillow covers on this due to the shape of the pillow. I just washed the original cover each time but within time I noticed the cover starting to deform and some parts got loose strands now. I know it can be a bummer but I'm more focused on the functionality to be honest. As long as the pillow doesn't loose its structure like ordinary pillows do, I'm fine without the original cover, it can be replaced easily. I just loved the softness to it. Lastly, I wouldn't really recommend for a belly sleeper due to the way the pillow is molded.

I want to love this pillow. It is nice and pretty comfortable. I like that there is the higher option for the side sleeper and lower option for the back. It does feel a little over engineered and I think some of the dimensions don't totally work for my head. The material is great and rather comfortable. I have generally had a better time with the neck support, though and am noticing fewer mornings waking up with a numb arm.

I have had my pillow for almost a year now. I wanted to be sure I'd really used it before giving a review, so people would know what to expect long term. Something to note about this pillow is that there IS an adjustment period. Doesn't matter what kind of pillow you used before, you need to give this pillow the dedicated 2 weeks before you start to feel any benefits. It takes that long to not only have your neck adjust to being in the proper position, but to sort out how best to sleep with it. I used to be a stomach sleeper, which is what drove me to buy this pillow to begin with, but that 2 week window helped me find that sleeping on my side gave me the best reprieve from neck and back pain. I now am strictly a side sleeper and between this and switching to a 12-inch memory foam mattress I have had no back pain when I wake up in the morning. Those first two weeks will SUCK. but after that, it's quite a wonderful pillow. the extra space for hands is also nice. All in All, it's worth the effort and the price, in my book.

This is definitely going to be one of those "personal opinion" kind of items, I'm sure, but this is probably the most comfortable pillow I've ever owned. When I first opened it, it seemed pretty soft (squishy) to the touch, but when I actually slept on it, I decided it was perfect. I've had this pillow (and been sleeping with it almost exclusively) for about two months, and it's been great. For me, there was really no "adjusting" period - it helped me pretty much right from the start. I have loose joints (plus wide hips and narrow torso) and had been waking up almost every morning in pain. Since I've had this pillow, that has almost never been the case. I sleep in "all" positions - back, left side, right side, tummy - and this pillow is awesome for every option, as far as I'm concerned. Sometimes I use a knee pillow under one leg for side sleeping, but not always. I love that you can flip the pillow depending just how thick you want your neck support. It makes it that much more customizable. If I'm lying in bed on my side reading or something, I stick one of my regular bed pillows under this one for a little extra height. Sleeping, I definitely don't need the extra. Also, however I lay my head (and my arm), there is easily a place where I'm not going to feel suffocated by the structure of the pillow. Somebody really thought this design out. The cover is nice and silky on top. The bottom is harder to explain: maybe kind of like a slightly soft, slightly scratchy mattress pad? I have sensory issues and do not find it unpleasant, but I added another pillow case (just because, I guess) anyway. I let the pillow air out several hours before use and did not have issues with any overpowering smell or anything like some foam products seem to have. I'm hoping this product sticks around because I expect to be purchasing again when this one gets tired.
