I have had these lights for awhile and they have not had any issues whatsoever. I plug them into a smart plug that has them on a schedule, and that works great. I currently just grow succulents under these lights in a rolling cart as pictured in the product, and they have been flourishing. In terms of assembly and product specifics, the assembly was very straightforward and took less than 30 minutes. The cord is long (so much so that I had to wrap it around my cart's frame), so there is no need for extension cords. The light I got has multiple colors but looks like a cool yellow light (a little bit brighter/less yellow than sunlight). As said before, I use a smart plug for a timer/schedule, as this product does not come with one. One thing to note- I underestimated how powerful these lights are. These lights are a legitimate equivalence to unfiltered direct sunlight. I had them on for a total of 6 hours/day and some of my plants died because of too much light. I now run it for 4 hours/day in 2 hour intervals and my plants love it. Overall, amazing product! I am a college student and this is a perfect solution for those who don't have ideal window sunlight growing conditions or who don't have enough space by their window. ... show more

I ordered my first pair several months ago for an aquarium and they grew plants beautifully. I loved them so much that ordered a second pair and they don't dissapoint! the light is strong and not unpleasant, and my aquariums and plants love them. they're cheap, work great, and are incredibly unobtrusive. they take up almost no space and come with 2 ways to hang them. mine are on for almost 12 hours a day and do it with no problem. great grow lights! ... show more

These are the most absolutely perfect lights, amazingly packaged and very bright! These are great for growing larger plants but I have a small shelf for my succulent plants and unfortunately I will not be able to use these for they do not fit.

I have my sunroom set up with a 2 shelf large shelving unit. I place my large citrus on the top with lights above not these but lights. Shorter shelf tomato plants with larger grow lights then under both of those shelves I have 2 of these on both sides for a total of 4 on lower shelf and 6 on higher shelf. I start seeds on the lower and these work perfect. I grow smaller plants like peppers and my small tomato varieties under the high shelf under these lights. I have all the meters to test the light amount. What I've found is place these lights at 12 inches or less above your plants and u get the intense light with less electricity usage. These are about 14,000 lux at 6 inches so it's all about the height u place these. I dont think many people understand how to place grow lights. My big grow lights for citrus I can place 2 ft above and still get the light I need. I'd recommend to get the sensors or just download the apps available to set at the correct height. Keep in mind a partially cloudy day will put off 50,000 lux easily a sunny day 100,000 easy so the closer u place these the better. Anything over 10,000 is considered full sun but compared to the actual sun u see the difference. So I go as close as possible and longer days and they work perfectly using less electric than the huge lights. Something to think about. ... show more

These two led grow lights are small, but awesome and perfect for what I need! I wanted to add grow lights to an old IKEA cabinet in order to keep my plants safe from my kitties. These lights fit perfectly and the cord connecting the two lights is long enough that I can use them to illuminate two shelves. I purchased the warm color and they are not at all obnoxious looking. They were extremely easy to install and I love that they came with little self adhesive peg things for mounting. The cord has an on/off switch and there is no timer but that is ok, because I have it plugged into a smart plug and can easily control it and set schedule. I had this light 8 months now. It has already stopped working. I think the lights its self are still good I think the problem came in the cord/ switch itself. So if you’re handy with electrical cords you wouldn't have an issue. My plants did absolutely wonderful. This light was there only light source. I ran the light 6/8 hours a day. Update: after leaving my initial review the seller got in contact with me and replaced my lights. They are working great! ... show more

First and foremost, the lights are great. They're bright and my plants enjoy them. They do what they are supposed to in that department and do them well. I have them hooked up to a timer and it works just fine with that. HOWEVER, I am not sure what in the world these command strip things are about. I understand why they are this way - they're meant to keep the lights off the surfaces they hang from to avoid fire hazards. But, their little "shelf" on the plastic is so tiny the lights constantly slip off. It is very hard to explain but they SUCK. I constantly have to readjust these lights because they fall. I'm going to have to find a different way to hang these because the provided hanging methods don't work. ... show more
