This is more of a sweater I'd throw on over my bathing suit if it got chilly in the evening, but otherwise I have to wear a tank top under it becauseyou can see right through. I got a 1X and a 2X because I wanted these to be loose. The 2x is huge on me and great for lounging around the house or working in the yard. The 1x just fits my chest, but the rest of it is comfortable. So if you are large chested, you might want to go up in size.
