We have a very tiny dog that needs a place to “go” during the hard winter days so this helps with the wind. We had a similar one but the top ripped after one winter. Now even though I don’t think this is rated for snow, we just had 60 mph winds and this stayed in place after freezing rain and 6” of snow in like a day. So it is definitely weather proof! Idk if it will last all winter or if we will get cracking, but so far it is much more durable than anything else, especially for the price. Now assembling it was no tools which was great and easy up until the end with the final posts getting the cover on, which other reviews talk about- yes it is very hard to stretch out and we were frustrated for sure, but it does come together either way w little a lot of effort. Pinned it to the ground and now it’s perfect for her. Because it’s so stable and a good size for our purpose it was worth the struggle for assembly and honestly only took about 20 minutes plus the extra oomph to get the last two cover poles together. ... show more

This dog tent is sturdy and was easy to assemble. However, we have a female Newfoundland who weighs about 120 lbs., and the tent is unfortunately a bit too small for her. We probably will need to search for a taller, longer, wider tent for her.

We have no shade in our chicken run so my chickens don’t like to go out there in the summer. Bought two of these so they can escape the crowded coup and have some space of their own. Worked perfectly! They also use it as a shelter in snow/ice since.
