The collar is easy to set up...directions are clear. Had a little bit of a problem first syncing the 2 together but might have been operator error. At first I did not know that I could lock the collar as the shock buttons are VERY sensitive. I accidentally shocked my dog twice while it was in my pocket. Not my intent, as I only want to use the vibrate and noise buttons, which work great for him. He is only 22 lbs and I bought this because he was going through the 4" slats in my fence and running amok over 6 acres. My concern was many things...coyotes, ticks, fleas or any other type of aggressive animal. So far, he has responded very well and now that I know I can lock it while I am holding it, I am happy with the purchase. The only other concern, is the collar is too big for him. I can not tighten it enough for it to fit properly but am willing to work around that. Bought for a small dog.

Shock: I have tested the shock feature and got a decent jolt. It should be enough for an emergency action, but we've not needed it on the dogs so far. Battery: Using the beep and vibration, the battery has lasted over 2 days with ~ 8 hour wear each day while working in the woods. Recharged after 2 days just to be sure (they were not drained after 2 days). UIsage so far: Just the beep most of the time, but occasionally the vibration feature to get her attention. I am tempted to remove the prongs to prevent accidental shock, but the need may arise to shock for safety (to stop aggression or prevent injury from cars or other dangerous situations). Our dogs: 2 half Goldens. We got these as precautions since our 12-year-old has gotten a bit stubborn (not sure if her hearing is going or if it is just getting more selective), and might need to hear a local beep if she can't hear us call to her. Our 1-year-old has been great, but can be a bit too physical with other dogs and the vibration lets her know to tone it down. The collars work well in the woods and help us keep the pups out of our busy street at home. If you're not in a situation where the shock would be needed, you can always use the provided material to remove the electrodes or short them out.

It’s great when it works, but it’s definitely NOT water proof and if your dog likes to play in the hose and/or sprinkler with your kids, don’t let ‘em wear the collar while doing so! It’s been a month of straight drying out while dead and it seems to be working properly at 100% again though, so there’s that… I’m definitely going to be looking into a more expensive one, this is a great collar if you’re unsure about them and don’t wanna drop the big money for it to not be right for you and your dog!

Received as ordered, packaged, boxed, all accessories *New. Great product for our barker! Usually only have to beep him to get him to stop. He learned quickly to stay in the front yard when we take him out. We go for walks and if he strays a beep will make him turn around and stay close. There is a button for vibrate which has been used and with the different strengths we can set it for his tolerance, this works well when he takes off for a squirrel - he comes right back. Fully adjustable collar and additional leads. We haven't used the shock portion much except by mistake - don't need it but you never know. This always works, easy to recharge overnite when needed -does hold a charge a long time (days). Great product! Definately recommend, there is a wide range of strength to set depending on your dog.

It does what it says. But there is no automatic mode for when I’m not home. My pug mix barks at trucks driving by or just someone speaking outside. This disturbs the neighbors. in a +55 park. Should have read the product description throughly. I already cut the collar to fit and cannot return :-/

I purchased a different product and had to exchange it same reason for the exchange reoccurred and by time of defect was beyond refund date. This collar however exceeded my expectations very long lasting charge on both collar and remote. Downside the collar length is way too long had to make some adjustments on both ends that’s a small fixable problem to have. I would highly recommend this item. So far no issues other than collar length may want to consider length adjustment from small breed to extend to large breed it’s definitely more fitting for dogs with large necks like a pug, not like my Papillion or Chihuahua type dogs.
