My package came on time and just like the reviews said. I released the wrapper and watched the steps expand. The cover was easily placed once the steps had expanded entirely. I had one of these for many, many years but it needed to be replaced. I have a nice east facing bay window in my living room and my dachshunds like to get on the raised portion and lay in the sun. Only a few of the pack of 10 can jump on the landing. Everyone else relies on the steps. All my doxies are extremely happy now and so is their mommy! Thanks!

These stairs were fairly easy to assemble. The cover has zipper which is nice if you need your cover to be washable. Sadly, I am knocking off 2 stars because these stairs cannot be used for the purpose intended. These stairs are the same height as another set of stairs we have but due to the soft foam construction, our cat cannot jump from the last step to our bed - as they can with the other set of stairs we have. They state in the description that they can reach beds but these stairs are not high enough to reach any of the beds in our home. They don’t go past any of the box springs. We cannot use them for the purpose intended and had to buy another set of stairs. We have an arthritic Senior Maine Coon cat that is the size of a small dog. These stairs slope instead of having steps so he cannot fully stop on a single stair along the way if he cannot make it to the top easily – as he can with other pet stairs that have squared off steps. The foam in these stairs indent as he walks up making it difficult to walk - I cannot see a 50lb/medium sized dog using these stairs with no issue. Hopefully I can find use for these elsewhere in our home. Such a shame. They shipped quickly, they are odorless (I have received rugs/stairs that have had horrible odors in the past) but in order to work properly as bed/couch stairs they should be much higher or have a way for animals to “spring” off the top step. With the foam, it doesn’t give them the footing they need.

I really like this for helping out a dog where steps are not an option and the grip of this with some shape is more helpful than a sloped ramp. This is being used by an elderly small dog that has some vision and some use of his back legs but can't climb well or see edges. The material on the cover helps him tell he is on the ramp and can use it. I wish it was a little wider to help him be certain of the edges easier but it is ok, and I really like the design. The cover goes on easily and it feels like it will have some long life in it if cared for properly. The zipper is stitched in well, and although has a few heavy stress points, it is sewn tightly there to reinforce the edges. No loose threads were found and it pulls and moves easily to assist in placing it on the foam. I will say one thing to consider and that is the vertical rise. This is fantastic for a dog who can still bend their knees and hips enough to move up and down a shortened and more vertical ramp, that has some give and a bit of grip. It will not help your pet if she/he is really stiff and needs the length of a full ramp. Although this does a great job of helping where steps won't work, you still have to see your dog (or cat) somewhat climb as they walk. I hope that helps. Would easily recommend or buy again under the right conditions.

As an FYI the little doggo I have at home is maybe ~8 lbs max. He's a small pomeranian that's more fluff than anything else so these stairs are perfect for him. I'm not sure how it would hold up for heavier dogs. The stairs themselves are very easy to put together. You put a cover over the foam stairs that come packaged and zip it up. Bam, you're done. They foam is a nice firm but still soft memory foam that helps prevent any oopsies from hurting too much. I would be a little concerned for heavier dogs since it's a little soft but for small dogs it's not an issue. The height of the ramp is perfect for your average couch and my little guy was able to figure the stairs out immediately with no issues. Gives me a little piece of mind that my dog won't have long term joint issues from jumping onto and off of the couch
