This is a very easy fence to put together. I did not use as a playpen. I used it to mark off a corner of our yard because my dogs balls kept going into the street and sometimes he would see a dog he liked. Don’t wanna run into the street other times he would see a dog he didn’t like I wanna fight so this is perfect. I used 16 panels plus maybe six more to do this area so I had to order two of these. The ones you’re seeing here are 32 inches tall. My dog is 90 pounds. I did not need a taller one and I didn’t want to block the view so I got the smaller one. My dog respects boundaries. If your dog runs or jumps whatever for sure they could dislodge this fence. But my dog doesn’t do that. My dog just needs his toys to stay in the yard. So for me, it works great. The annoying thing is that you can’t really line it up or reconfigure it without at least putting one steak in the ground. Then, if you want to move it, it just all wants to fall apart. She really have to know where you want it and pin it Down because to move one pole out of the ground everything starts to fall apart. I have a little Gate that we used for a minute a puppy that’s about 29 inches tall and it folds and it sets out really easily. But it doesn’t have post that go on the ground. If you want something easy to take up and take down frequently and I mean even more than once a month don’t buy this. But if you’re putting this out like I am and you’re leaving it out then this is great. But don’t think this is something you’re gonna take up and take down just because it’s portable. And honestly, if you’re not putting the steaks in the ground, you cannot make it go straight. If you are putting this in some sort of configuration of a playpen, you wouldn’t need the steaks. The metal is actually pretty thick and a good quality, but I wouldn’t trust it against a large dog if you’re really trying to contain them . I don’t think it would work. But again for me to fence off the yard to provide a boundary to keep the toys in, and because I can stake it in this perimeter fence is perfect for us! When I take it down it’ll be when you know maybe the weather changes or we’re not using it so much but we do not want a permanent fence so this is great for us. Before the second set of panels arrived, I was able to Wallet off straight down the middle, but I did have the zigzag around the sprinkler line, but did work quite well. So if you have uneven ground or things you need to avoid in the ground or Landscaping, etc.this is great.

This is a perfect size for outdoor loving 5 yr old Bichon. Great quality and easy to put together. We plan to put down a weed barrier cloth then lay an artificial grass that we can hose off. Plan to buy a stronger lock.

It is very sturdy and well made. I like the design because my pet cannot climb out of the pen. Unfortunately, as other comments say, it did not come with the one hand easy open system, so it is quite a hassle to open it.

Bought this and put a thick, new, 12 x 12' tarp under it so our 2 pups could safely play outside with "no paws on the ground" until they had their full set of puppy vaccinations. This is so well made. Bought the 32" high, 16 piece - plenty of room for 2 little dachshund pups to run laps and play. We leave it up but wipe the tarp down with "Rescue wipes" before the next use. Rescue is the brand vets use to clean exam rooms. Highly recommend.
