Kennel was easy to set but my pit bull managed to escape and the whole area by the door is torn up and my dog has a cut on her head. This will easily fall apart. I guess I didn’t read the reviews.

I have two 90lb pit bulls, one who is exceptionally rough on all furniture and one who has to wear a cone when unsupervised for allergy reasons. They’ve been crate trained since I got them for his safety (he eats his feet when not wearing the cone) and so she doesn’t shred his cone. The crates I purchased before were iCrate brand and were sturdy, the bars were a bit thicker and they’re a bit physically heavier as well. After six years, they were due for an upgrade as some of the bars had started to rust thanks to slobber and water bottles leaking. So I bought these crates and they feel a bit unstable and the bars seem weak. The latches are also extremely flimsy. They’re also smaller than the 42” iCrate was with a smaller entrance. They seem more like 40” crates based on how much space the crate covers now have. I’m able to have an XL travel water bottle mounted to the crates and completely zip the cover over the water bottle where before only the side without the bottle would zip about four inches. I’m hoping these hold up for how much they cost. Update 1/26/24: these were not good. They were not sturdy at all, I leaned on it once to bend over and pick something up and the bars bent (I’m barely 140lbs, 5’3” for reference). My female likes to stand on the front to see what’s on top of the crates and it caved where her paws landed. Both crates also had sharp barbs on all the weld points that drove both my dogs nuts and caused some cuts. My male screamed for weeks whenever he had to be in his. The trays don’t fit the bottom, they’re too small so they slide around and it freaks the dogs out, as well as it being at least an inch smaller in all directions than the iCrate they used to have. Bought this as a spare crate for my grand-fur baby when he visits. Unfortunately, the crate is very cheap and flimsy. Upon setting it up for the first time, the safety hooks that are in place to keep the crate upright began to break/snap. Many of the features for locking the crate in place do not lock. I worry the crate will collapse. Planning to return. I would encourage people to not buy this crate as it's a safety hazard. It has lost a door lock so since I cannot return, I will be throwing this out. ... show more
