Even with a real screwdriver it's difficult to screw in the screws into the dowels. The included allen wrench screwdriver is far too small and uncomfortable to use. Putting this together was difficult, and required another person to help with assembly at times. This house is great size and fits perfectly up in my designated cat bay window. The dog house is sturdy and the fabric is a heavy canvas. The cushion is puffy enough to afford comfort, but it's rather scratchy (needs a cover). Putting the frame together was moderately difficult for me, but would a breeze fo for a handy person. The screw holes are tiny, the included screwdriver was useless. You'll need a Phillips screwdriver and some strength, and if you're like me... patience. All in all, a solid 3 stars! ... show more

I got this for my little dogs and they love it. Assembly wasn't hard as it included tools but they hadn't drilled pilot holes into the dowels and so they were hard to get screwed in. I had to use my electric screwdriver (which then messed up one of the dowels). That wasn't a big deal as the cover goes all around the dowels covering it, but it would be the only thing that kept it from being 5 stars in my book! My dog watched me every minute while I assembled this very curiously. Upon completion he inspected the tent furiously and found a treat inside I had left him.
