Easy to assemble and it’s spacious

We raise registered Akitas and we bought this product as a secondary weather break for inside our kennels. Our kennels have a roof, but when the storm is accompanied by wind there is not much protection. Hence the purchase. If you have absolutely NO mechanical aptitude you may find the assembly a bit frustrating. Perhaps get a friend to help. But, with a little patience, some common sense and the instructions the assembly is pretty easy and simple. The house suits our needs and is quite acceptable. We are quite satisfied with our purchase. That being said, I do not believe that this house is sturdy or heavy enough as a free standing unit. The ground stakes are not that long and I do not believe that they will hold in a sustained or heavy wind. In addition, if your dog is a "chewer". It chews on Everything! You will be disappointed when you go out the next day and look at your new dog house. The plastic is pretty soft. We also thought that the shipping costs were somewhat high. But, I agreed to them, so I can't really complain about that. If you are going to place this dog house in your garage, on your porch, under your carport or inside a kennel I believe that you will be more than satisfied. We are.

It wasn’t that easy to assemble. It took at least an hour or more to assemble. For my Labrador who weighs 70, it needs to be wider and longer. In time he will learn how to lay down inside and rest. Right now he just goes in, turns around, and comes out.

The picture of a German Sheppard coming out of it is very misleading. This dog house at best is good for a Chow Chow or any medium sized dog up to about 60 lbs. which is luckily what I was buying this for. The house was easy to put together even with the basic instructions it came with. Overall took about 25 minis working by myself. The tie down stakes are a nice plus as there is a lot of wind in my backyard that would other wise cause this to fly away. The first night it got hit with 30 to 40 mph guest off and on all night and stayed right where I put it with no sings of any stress or damage. I feel it would protect my dog very well if left outside and I was unable to get to him quickly.
