The 1st 1 I ordered had to be returned due to the face plates didn't line up and I felt unsure of its safety. I reached out with my concerns and was sent a new 1 immediately. Upon receiving the new 1 it was great. We installed it in our dog house quite easily with just the few screws that it came with. It warmed up the dog house almost immediately, so much so that our dog didn't wanna come out for a few hrs, it shuts off by itself when it reaches a certain temperature(which is very convenient). This is the second heater I have purchased for my chicken coop, and is by far superior to the first. It keeps a steady temperature, and automatically goes off if it gets too hot, a feature I was hoping to find. We recently moved from Sonoma to Seattle, and my hens have been wrestling with the change in temperature. This heater has made their coop cozy and comfortable, so they now go in and out (between the coop and run) throughout the day. I also had my electrician take a look to ensure the heater was safe, and he was very impressed. I highly recommend this product. So far, so good, and I'm grateful for a heater that I can leave on in the winter months!

Works perfectly. Mounted it at half height on the back wall. Have the power cable exiting the wall via a hole behind the heater. Fashioned a sturdy wire fence 5-sided cage around the heater to protect the heater. Both this cage and the heater can easily be detached to clean out dog hair, in necessary, and to remove after winter. Attaching flexible, slotted doghouse door flap helps to maintain ideal inside temps in very cold weather. This setup work was required to make the installation ideal. Not rated 5 Stars only because this setup work is recommended for the safest installation.
