This product was very easy to install but if you made a mistake with the adhesive pads they were essentially wasted if you tried to move them. Two of my three dogs managed to force their way underneath the netting and eventually broke the hoop. (One of those being a three legged dog)

    • Perfect for what I needed but probably not beyond
We have a senior dog who is no longer allowed to go upstairs. We fortunately didn’t need something that was going to have to stand up to a lot of resistance. The install was super easy and they gave some extra adhesives in case you needed them. Our girl walked over to it, tried to stick her head through it, met resistance and was redirected with praise. The gate continues to sit there as a reminder but after a few days she doesn’t even try to get upstairs if it’s up. I can definitely see the criticisms other people had for the gate as being valid. I cannot imagine it would hold much muster against a puppy’s energy (or even if our dog were more willful) but for us it filled the need and the price was right. This is a great idea, but they can just go under it. I think it might work for big dogs, but not little ones. And not if they are left alone, where they get mischievous and brave. If someone is around, they might not challenge it. But once left alone they will challenge it and thus scoot right under the bottom. I do like that it comes with extra screws, and it was super easy to install ... show more

Bought this to keep our Frenchie puppy from going downstairs where the litter boxes are. It's been up for a month and so far it's worked perfectly. He can't do down but the cats can easily jump over it to get back and forth. I think eventually we will need to upgrade to a metal gate but for now it's been great especially for the price. ... show more

I should’ve taken the reviews more seriously! It’s a complete waste of money and every time my dog comes through the gate it makes me feel like a fool for purchasing it! Just go buy a real gate. I want a refund

    • Not tight enough
This product isn't designed very well. You simply cannot get enough tension to tighten the fence to the point where any small-medium sized dog can't crawl under it. It might work for a large dog, assuming they don't burst through the netting entirely.
