Purchased to put into a very large crate. The fabric is soft to the touch and the bottom side has plasticized non-slip dots that helps keep the pad still and in place. It is not very thick, about 1.5-inches with polyfil so it is not rigid like a foam mat. It is very light weight, can be carried folded up with one hand. I purchased this one as it is actually larger than the inside dimensions of the dog's crate so the long edges fold up a bit to create a little bit of a bumper pad inside the crate for the dogs. I toss their favorite blanket in atop the pad and they are quite happy with it. It is a good pad for the money. I'm a sewist/quilter and I cannot make a pad for them by purchasing the fabric and batting and sewing it myself for the price paid. It works well and the girls are happy. ... show more

I bought this because it said it fits in any crate LOL in my 52 lb dog doesn't fit on half of it. But I still put it in there I just washed it yesterday and washed good. I ordered the 36"x23" mat and it is the correct size, I measured to check, however the picture makes it look much bigger than it actually is. The picture has a full grown labrador laying on it which led me to believe that the size I was ordering could accommodate a dog of that size. I assure you it cannot. My corgi-sized dog just barely fits comfortably on it. I wouldn't go as far as saying it's false advertisement, but it is a tad misleading. Aside from that, it's got a nice layer of cushion and my dog likes it just fine. I might bite the bullet and get the next size up and keep this one on hand for emergencies but it came as described. Instant dog magnet right out of the package. I intended to use them as crate mats but they’re so successful as couch protectors that I may buy another set for the crates! I really hope they hold up well in the wash.

Very cute pattern and decent for the price but definitely do not recommend if your dog is a chewer. My dog ripped a hole in it in less than 10 minutes and had all the filling ripped out within an hour. Not durable at all. Went from package to trash in less that 24 hours.
