Beautiful and very heavy duty. This kennel/shelf is a lot more sturdy than I expected. It is beautiful, has clear instructions and is packaged well. I'm very happy with the wood grain and color. I would recommend that you are positive that this is what you want before you purchase it, because it is incredibly heavy and would be nearly impossible to return, even if you didn't open the box. One thing that the listing was missing is the internal dimensions of the kennel itself. The dimensions are approximately 22" by 32". It is most suitable for a small or medium dog. Although, we have a large dog who prefers a smaller kennel and it works for us. She is around 65lbs, but it is a tight fit and I wouldn't recommend it for most dogs over 55lb. A few things to keep in mind as you are assembling it: - The box itself is incredibly heavy. It's a team lift. - You'll need a lot of space. The instructions have you assemble it mostly upside down and then you'll have to turn it over. Again, this requires two people to accomplish. - Do not over tighten any of the screws as they do strip. This is mentioned in the directions, but worth reiterating. - You'll need some time to complete the assembly. There are many many parts... It took us around 4 hours to assemble. We usually take a bit longer than average, but I'd imagine it would take others at least 3 hours. Overall, I highly recommend this furniture dog crate. Very sturdy. I laid on it with no problems and I’m 200lbs. So it will hold any size TV.Plenty of room for the boys to lay and stand and turn around. The drawers are super helpful to house their towels, treats, collars, clothes, etc,. The assembly was pretty straight forward. Can be done with one person but easier and better with two people. Pay attention to the holes and which way they are facing during assembly so you don’t have to un-assemble anything like I did. It wasn’t cheap but good quality value for what I spent. It has a nice weight to it and doesn’t feel light or cheaply made. I definitely recommend getting one for your fur babies. ... show more

Product is beautiful and turned out great for my two dogs (basset hounds). But heads up, this took FOREVER to assemble by myself, even with power tools. Had to do it in two sessions after work and in total it took me about 6 hours to complete. A couple of the steps were complicated where you have to join the bottom surface together and to the frame at the same time. I had a significant gap. The instructions said to have the unit on its side lengthwise while attaching but that was impossible. Could not get the gap to close. Ended up rotating the unit on its end so I could use gravity to my advantage and that worked wonders. Beware this thing is heavy so if you have someone to help you while you’re flipping it around, you’ll be doing yourself a favor. Happy with my purchase though. ... show more

I’ll give it 5 stars because of the quality of the product. It’s an absolutely beautiful piece of furniture. It’s heavy duty for sure. I’d give it 3 stars when it comes to the build. Parts of the directions were wrong, the drawers to be exact. Drawings and directions. Thankfully my husband and I have built every piece of furniture from ikea (haha) so we aren’t dumb dumbs but holy moly, thankfully we caught the mistakes and were able to correct before having to take apart. This isn’t a first time building project this took 4 hrs with two people. So be aware, it’s heavy and it’s definitely a two man job. Happy with purchase and my pups love it. Arrived missing over 12 large parts, including main wood piece for the top. Very complicated assembly with around 100 parts. Customer service seems to be stuck in a loop where they repeatedly ask for the missing parts then your order number. They wouldn't replace. Almost impossible to return because of size and packaging. The boxes are super heavy and who ever my delivery driver was destroyed a box and I had one broken item (that I used and youd never notice). It is a lot pieces but if you organize nicely before you assemble and grab two or three bowls and count the pieces you need for screws and other connection pieces, its smooth sailing! I got it done in 3.5 hours. Fits both my medium/large dogs. If you plan on moving though, this is extremely heavy. I am 5ft female who had to bring these boxes up two flights of stairs by myself. The manufacturer gave all the pieces however even after following the instructions certain holes were not drilled in the doors frame at the correct measurements for it to align with the hindges which was fairly stressful, but my spouse was able to drill a hole in the hidge to fix it. You may need to make some adjustments in order to put it together its not an easy assembly especially when the parts dont align with the holes the manufacturer drilled. Heavy product.
