To start, the product required complete cleaning before we could assemble. There was rust and a oily residue on the entire thing. The welds are extremely cheap and not lined up which cause screw holes not to line up. Despite this we continued in the assembly. It wasn’t until the end when putting the doors on that the crooked welds resulted in the locking pin not lining up as you can see from the photo. I attempted to bend the hole over a bit and the weld started to give. The other door hinge kept losing the pin and disconnecting. The bottom hinge was crooked and the holes misaligned. The top screw had to angle down and the bottom screw angle up, tightening either screw cause the other to pop out of place. Other than the complete lack of functionality, the crooked welds made for very sharp edges on the hinges. If you have a dog that paws at the door like mine, they may cut themselves. Given the nature of the problems, it wasn’t until it was almost completely assembled that we could tell it wouldn’t work. So now we are taking it apart so we can send this trash back. Fit my 2 small dogs perfectly. Easy installation and was put together in maybe 20 minutes. I don’t get why the previous bad reviews, because this product definitely exceeded my expectations!!

I recently purchased and assembled a dog cage that, aesthetically, blends seamlessly with my furniture. While the overall structure seemed sturdy upon assembly, I encountered a major issue with the bottom board. Unfortunately, the bottom board is lifted from the floor and quite thin, leading to my dog easily breaking the screws holding it in place on the second day of use. Despite the cage still fulfilling its purpose, I am disappointed that such a crucial part failed so quickly, especially considering it was pre-assembled. For those with heavy dogs, I would not recommend this product due to its lack of durability. Overall, while the dog cage is visually appealing and complements my home decor, its structural integrity, particularly the bottom board, leaves much to be desired, especially for the price point. ... show more

This item came undamaged and took a bit to put together, solo, mostly just due to size. It looks good now - but holes were misaligned for the top so though it feels sturdy, we will see - two screws wouldn't go I'm at all (no matter how I flipped the top). Overall, I'm happy with it. Unclear what the four plastic 'corner protectors' (at least that's what they look like) are for. Not mentioned anywhere in the instructions - there's 2 small ones and 2 larger ones. A mystery indeed. ... show more

I was leery of this due to the questionable reviews but….I also noticed the pictures of the bad reviews had a different latch mechanism. I’m not sure if this model got an update or people left reviews here for a different product (?), but what I can say is the model with the latches as shown in my Pics and in the current listing is fantastic!!! Put together in about 20-30 minutes each. Can do it by yourself, but having one person to stabilize will cut about 5-10 minutes off the DIY time. You need to follow the instructions exactly or it will seem like there are missing holes. Following the instructions results in everything aligning properly and super easy to put together. It looks fantastic and I’ve gotten several compliments on the way it looks. The dogs seemed to take to it right away (even though they had refused the same size wire crates). Something about it just seems cozier apparently. I love the opening to reach in and pat them at the top. I do think the bottom screws could be a bit heftier but my dogs are small so I’m hoping it will be fine. Im ordering a third one. ... show more

Love the look and quality of the crate BUT it was frustrating to put together. Got all the way to the last door and it wouldn’t latch. I tried readjusting the screws and hinges multiple times but it was impossible to line up. The latch hook was a little off so I’m guessing that was the issue. I ended up using brute force to get it to latch so it’s now an unusable door but I could not bring myself to take it completely apart to replace it ... show more

My dog hates it but I love it. He had a condo cage and destroyed the door and I had to throw the cage away. The first few nights he howled and barked all night long. I gave him free rein of the house and he pooped in the spare bedroom. So he lost his privileges. He sees it as a punishment instead of an opportunity to chill from the big dog. Tough, he will adjust.
