My dog has been on this bed for a handful of times since I got it, thus why I am giving it 4-stars. It is very soft, too soft imo. In the pictures it looks firmer so be aware, this is not a firm bed at all. After opening you'll probably need to shake it a few times to distribute the filling. There is no factory smell to it, so I didn't wash it before hand, maybe I should have. I'll update after I wash it. I ordered the medium size bed and it is the perfect size for my little chiweenie.

This is a great bed for naps and stuff but feel like it would not be the best for our fur baby to sleep in for long sleeps cause the padding is not a thick at I was hoping. It is cute and made well and the fabric is super soft.

My dog loves it!! Uses it all the time. It is soft and it does need to be expand. I was skeptical at first as to how it was packaged. It was vacuum packed. Just follow directions and itโll be fine. But all is good with the bed. Would recommend.

This dog bed is ultra soft just like the advertisement claims, but it is not as plush or fluffy as the pictures indicate, and it's probably more appropriate to call it a dog pad instead of a bed. We do not use it as my dog's primary bed, but it does get a fair amount of use during the day as my dog lounges in the family room. I have hardwood floors on the lower level of my home, and that's where my dog spends the majority of his day. This pad gives him a fair amount of cushion and comfort for his aging hips. I have an appropriately sized, adult yellow Labrador, and his frame fits just fine on the X-Large pad. I do recommend this item if you're going to use it as a crate pad or part-time bed, but be fore-warned, it is not as thick as the photos show.

Our dogs usually prefer to sleep or lay on a bed that has vertical sides, so they feel cocoon-like. I ordered this crate pad for our new puppy's crate, to put his round cocoon bed on, and he surprised us by choosing to lay on this mat instead of the bed. It's cold outside, so he clearly got enough warmth from the mat. When I opened the vacuum seal, the bed fluffed right up and is super soft. They aren't kidding when they advertise it as "ultra soft fluffy plush". Even I would enjoy resting my head on it. It's 3/4 the length of the 19"x30" crate, which works for us because we put his round bed on the end the mat doesn't cover. I wish the cover could zip off for washing so we wouldn't strain our washing machine by putting the entire thing in. Once wet, it's heavy and without a carefully balance load (like with another similar dog bed and a couple of towels), it unbalances the washer drum. So I might wash this one by hand in the bathtub. I think this is a great dog bed at an appropriate price. Very happy with it.

This is a good dog bed. Very soft, looks good, fits a crate well. My 6 month old puppy seems to like it. He will go lay in his cage whenever he's tired and looks extremely comfortable. He's not a digger or chewer when in the cage so I can't really say how durable it would be for a dog that would be more rough with it.
