The media could not be loaded. This is a decent quality camping wood stove, but it has very limited directions. The directions included do not tell you some details, such as how much wood to add, and there are no directions for the pellet adapter. The pellet adapter looks like a little metal cup. However, the cup does not hold pellets (it would not sit flat in the stove if this was the purposes). It blocks the center for improved airflow. My first run with this stove was with pellets. Unfortunately, I did not take photos on that run. I put the ash tray in first, then the pellet adapter on top, with the cup facing down, centered on the top of the ash tray. I then filled pellets around the circumference of the adapter up to the top of the adapter. With a very small squirt of charcoal starter on the pellets (VERY small), I ignited the pellets. The smoked just a little at first but when they lit fully, there was a perfect, smokeless flame that lasted maybe 30 minutes. Adding more pellets would be difficult until the flame is burned down. The next use, I split several pieces of hardwood firewood into small chunks. Without any instructions, I filled the stove but not completely and not above the ring. I lit one piece of fatwood and tucked it in. The fire started slowly with lots of smoke, but eventually it was blazing... higher than I anticipated... and at this point there is nothing that can be done other than let it burn out. It did produce a nice, clean flame for a while, maybe 30 minutes. Unfortunately, it did darken the green paint on the outside of then unit and it melted the aluminum rivets holding the ash pan together (I fixed this with 2 new steel rivets). It should still work as good as new. The gist of my review is that it works well if you don't add a lot of wood. It will not burn nearly as long as they suggest. You can always keep adding wood as it dies out, and it does burn through little chunks quickly. I definitely prefer hardwood pellets, but it would be a good camp stove to use with sticks while out in the woods. ... show more

This thing is pretty awesome. Well built and has all the accessories you need to enjoy . I preferred using the pellet adapter and my only complaint is the adapter just sits in the canister. It almost doesn’t fit how this was built. Otherwise, this is a great buy.
