  • Roof/Gutter Expandable Rake
Size: 30 Ft Style: Roof Rake
Great item! Solid material. Easy to adjust, both extension and width of chines on the rake head. Helped with all the leaves in the roof lines of a metal roof. IS a real workout when you have 20' or more extended. Looked like I was deep sea fishing....lol. Definitely felt it the next day too. Served its purpose. ... show more

  • Sharp and Light
Size: Head Only - No Pole Style: Pole Saw
Once the warm weather gets here, this pruning saw should work well on my Docapole for getting to higher limbs that I could never reach otherwise. Also, the design with a good handle makes it useful as a hand saw.

  • Multiple ways to attach
Size: Head Only - No Pole Style: Pole Saw
This is a 4 star product from a company with 5 star customer service. They also make the excellent BIG-REACH Pole Hook (NEW!), which also screws onto a broom handle. I like the concept of this saw alot, but wish it had more parts made of metal like their Pole Hook does. The engineer in me would have also designed this a little differently here and there, but overall it cuts well for how 95% of people will use it, and they need to make this at a price point that the masses will buy at. With that said, I don't consider this cheaply made or not sturdy (the plastic is hard and seems pretty tough), its just that a deluxe version would have been worth it to me. That would have mostly meant that the part you screw the saw into was made out of metal rather than plastic. I find the metal "female" on the Big Hook to have accepted more acme thread varations and was more usable with a variety of "standard" broom handles (which maddenly have some slight variability even when advertised as "Acme standard" thread). I would have also enjoyed a true "sheath" for backpacking with it, which it appears to have had at one time based on some older reviews. What it comes with now is a thin cardboard sleeve/"sheath". Some of the older reviews also said there were instructions on how to pop out the thread plug so that you could also put a stick into the hollow handle if you were backpacking, etc. Those instructions seem to be gone now, but yes, you can pop out the black thread plug without a lot of effort or causing damage, exposing the hollow handle's insides that you can then put a stick in almost all the way to the saw blade and then screw down. With the plastic providing several inches of stability, it works fairly well. There is screw you need to remove to pop out the thread plug, super easy. The extra blade makes this a good value. ... show more

  • Pick fruit out of trees? Maybe. Pick geocaches out of trees? Perfect.
Size: 24 Ft Style: Fruit Picker
I really can't speak to this being used as a fruit picker. I don't use it for that but I'm fairly sure it would work well. I can tell you that it's very sturdy and stable if a bit on the heavy side. I've yanked on it pretty hard when retrieving geocaches from trees. I have also seen these used as video camera mounts when fully extended into the wind. Years later and the cameras are still there. ... show more

  • One of the most useful pole attachments
Size: Head Only - No Pole Style: Pole Saw
We had some branches that were getting really overgrown against our house. But they were so high up that there was no way we could get to them. I thought we'd have to have a tree company out, until I found this saw attachment. I use this with a Mr. Longarm telescoping pole and it works really well. The blade is sharp and cuts through branches like butter. I was able to completely clean up our tall overgrown branches with this thing, and in a very short time. It took longer to clean up the cut-off branches than it did to saw through them. It was easier to use than I expected, perhaps due to the sharpness of the blade. To be fair, the branches I was cutting were mostly around an inch or so thick, so nothing particularly large. I also find this saw to be useful even without the pole. It cuts better than anything else I have, so I also use it on branches that I don't need a pole for. I'd like it if the whole thing was metal rather than just the blade. Despite the plastic, so far it seems to be quite sturdy and I've not had any signs of weakness from it. I'm really glad to have found this pole saw attachment. ... show more

  • really difficult to use
Size: 30 Ft Style: Pole Saw
The locking system out of the box is really poor and slips alot. You can tighten it up with a screwdriver to solve this. Its really flimsy/bendy when everything is extended. You have to make sure each segment is not fully extended, only say 3/4 extended. It reduces its maximum length but helps alot with flexing. The saw sucks. It just plain out sucks. The kerf is too small so it gets jammed easily. The amount of strength required to do an undercut some 20~ feet in the air with this thing is absurd. You'll get gassed out after 2 branches. If the kerf was wider it wouldn't get stuck so easily. Anyhow, when your cutting, pay VERY close attention to how harder each cut gets. If it does, pull the saw all the way out and start cutting back down again to avoid it getting pinched/jammed in there. There is no way to change angle of the cut when its really high up. The best you can do is go at it from the other side. This helps tremendously when doing bigger branches. The saw needs the weight of the branch to make any sort of progress. It the branch is jammed or hung up on other branches and can't sag down, sawing will be extremely difficult. It will feel as if the blade isnt sharp enough when you try to cut. Try to untangle the branch so gravity can help you when your cutting. Reeeealy wish the saw had a wider kerf. Now the pole itself i would rate 4 stars, its a great pole, minor issues i explained above. But i bought it to be main use as a polesaw, so i rate 3 star. The duster attachment is great for spiderwebs on cameras. ... show more
