For this DNA RA-1140 Radiator, the core Depth (thickness) is incorrectly stated. In the posting, scroll down in the listing to the Core Dimensions: 25-1/8" W X 12-5/8" H X 1-1/4" D. The “D” (Depth, or core thickness) of this RA-1140 radiator is actually 1 inch. Core Depth does not include the side rails - it is the actual front-to-back measurement of the rows of tubes and aluminum fins. To measure radiator actual core Depth, straighten a paper clip or very thin piece of solid wire (not braided), and very CAREFULLY insert the wire thru the core fins until the end is flush with the other side - then use a Sharpie to mark the long end where it is flush with the core. Withdraw the wire - this measurement is the Depth. I have not yet installed this radiator in my 92 Miata – other than the Depth issue, the overall quality looks good. ~ S

The good: the bottom line was less than Rock Auto, and it arrived quickly. The hoses fit well, and it looks like there's a drain screw in the middle at the bottom, but no petcock. The original Mazda radiator did not have any drain at all. The not-so-good: Instead of having integrated threads, there are slide-in nuts for mounting the fans. They are made of very soft metal, and even approaching proper torque will tear the threads out completely. They used extra Chinesium where it shouldn't go. I had to replace two original mounting bolts with longer ones because the originals wouldn't reach the nuts. It took some time going through my collection of spares to find two that would work. The lower legs that fit into the brackets are missing - you have to remove them from the old radiator and transfer them over. The problem is then that the holes are not drilled large enough, and you have to customize them so your support legs will actually slide through. That is just sloppy manufacturing - not to spec at all. Additionally, some parts of the original radiator that are metal are plastic on this one. The box it comes in is generic, and the "brand" is just a small white sticker. Most likely at least a dozen inexpensive aftermarket radiator "brands" come from the same source. Would I recommend it? 50/50, because any radiator under a hundred bucks is going to have issues, and you go into it knowing what you're going to get. It will take longer than it should to install because it hasn't been built to the original specifications, or with quality metal. If you spend twice as much, or go with the original equipment, you'll be out a lot more money, but you'll save some time and aggravation, and have a better quality radiator.

Fits good, worked really well until the first really hot day if the year and the radiator blew out the bottom. Any coolant you put in just leaks right out . Hoping the warranty claim helps out.
