These lights fit exactly, however the thread locking arms on the pop sockets can break easily when pressing the light fixture into their respective sockets. They can be pushed to hard and push past their mounting range and the locking arms will snap. I had to glue mine on both sides. Over all the install was easy. I rebuilt the front end with a new grill and these lights and I am very happy with the final product. Measure the center of the lights from the ground and project the lights on a wall 20' away and aim the top of the light pattern approximately 1" lower than the center of the lights were measured. This will set the light pattern at or near the proper elevation. I would purchase these again and recommend them to anyone looking for a replacement. ... show more

These lights look awesome on my 96 explorer, but their vertical adjusters are weak crap. They feel like they can only be adjusted once and the gear housing split apart. The lock ring to hold the high/ low beam bulb was damaged on both headlights. This required me to use the stock lock ring. look elsewhere for your money. ... show more

I see from the reviews that some had good luck with these. Unfortunately, that did not describe my experience with them. After many hours of attempting to install, I had to give up and throw them away since I damaged them in the mean time. These two mfg flaws killed it: (1) passenger side headlight bulb receptacle. It's dimensions were off and the bulb could not be inserted enough to lock it in; (2) driver's side pins to align and help hold the turn signal cluster in place were off and it would not seat down flush with the headlight lens - and it left a noticeable gap after install. Since I caused damage they went straight into the trash. I then had to learn the materials and skills to refinish/restore my original headlights which are fully opaque. For some reason, I cannot find many different suppliers for these headlights. So good luck! ... show more
