I have tried quite a few back supports in my time and this one has one thing that others seem to miss, great velcro placement. The closures on this support will not get entangled with your clothes as they are surprisingly pointed the correct way! It is a bit wider than some, which makes bending over a bit more of a chore, but the support level of this belt makes it worth it, the stiffening elements don't pinch when the belt is tightened, a problem with some of the others I have tried. Great for wear when you're having a 'tweak' episode, it keeps the muscles from slamming down every time your back moves slightly off-center. Would certainly recommend!

I got this in a larger size, simply because of issues I've had with similar products running too small. That was a good idea, because this is definitely not the size you think it is. It still fit well, gave very good support, and I've overall pleased with it. But just remember, you will definitely need a bigger size than you think!

If you're looking to heal a back injury or prevent one, check out this back support brace from DMI. It's super supportive but also comfortable and breathable. You get a good amount of compression without feeling too constricted, thanks to the elastic fabric. The sizing is accurate, so you don't have to worry about it being too tight or too loose. Overall, it's a great option for anyone who needs back support.

I'm so disappointed that I'm unable to use this brace due to it being undersized. It looks well made. I've had 2 surgeries on my lumbar area and look forward to being able to use this when I get my weight down.

This is advertised at being up to 46" waist, but there's no way that's possible because the band laid out flat is only 43" end-to end, AND you need overlap to have the velcro connect securely, so, practically speaking I'd say around 40" waist is the absolute maximum this will accommodate. That aside, the actual construction seems very good with the main band having good velcro, and the strapping for the cinching part being good quality elastic. My only beef is with the massively overstated upper size range for this. The packaging and product page needs to be more realistic with what they're shipping.

I tried this brace for a couple of reasons. I already had a back brace but it was very bulky. Also, I had to buy two of the other brace as I was at the midpoint of their two sizes. This brace appeared to be less bulky (and therefore lighter) and also I fit into its given size range. The primary question of course was, will the lighter, less bulky brace provide the support needed for comfort and would it work as well as my heavier, bulkier brace. The answer is yes. I have been using the brace for a week now and it has worked as well as my prior braces but with less bulk and less weight. This is my brace of choice now and I readily recommend its use for those with the lower-back pain that I experience.

I am not a large guy in terms of girth, but I do have a dad bod. I have been suffering from back pain for some time due to two concurring pathologies (one is spinal osteoarthritis). When I was a CNA, I did my level best to protect my back at all times. I have tried the disposable thermal packs, the capsaicin ones, the lidocaine ones, etc. The relief is fleeting at most. Very recently, I had an inflamed lumbar nerve and the leg pain made me reluctant to get out of bed in the morning. I am doing my Physical Therapy exercises, but they are not a cure-all. To that end, I figured that I need to stabilize my back whilst doing my daily routine. A brace reminds me to bend without undue stress. Back to my body build, I don't have a "dunlap" (belly that laps over my belt) and it is usually 35" at navel level. I was barely able to secure the the Velcro. The side cinchers were not adjusted. I would have preferred it in black like my other one. Said other one is more accommodating in terms of adjustability. This one would be great for someone closer to the smaller stated sizes.

My wife is an RN for 37 years. And yes she hurts her back often taking care of her patients. She is stubborn and will help her patients even if it hurts her. So I got this belt for her to prevent her from hurting her back and help her to be able to work while her back is injured. It supports her back and spreads any stress or pressure out over a wider area. This allows her to work even though her back is injured. And if she wears it before she gets injured it can help prevent her from getting injured. She said it is very supportive Nad comfortable compared to some other belts she has tried.
