I am experimenting with painting perforated paper with Golden fluorescent acrylics, and then stitching small motifs with this floss. Under the black light, all of the colors glow nicely except for the blue, which is sort of dull under the UV; but typically it's hard to find a real nice blue under UV light. I find the texture of the floss to be a little difficult, sort of feels like stitching with silk, which I myself do not care for. Feels weird on my fingers. I've updated this with a photo under the black light. Purple glows, but not as purple, more of a rusty, dull color. Blue is also dull. The other colors are brilliant and glow much better than they appear in this photo. ... show more

This isn’t regular cotton DMC floss, but polyester like other floss in the E and S categories. The individual strands like to “stick” to each other and don’t easily slide through fabric (embroidery). Decided if the added shine, effect is worth it for your project. Would probably make great friendship bracelets. ... show more

    • Great for crafting
I am into a lot of things that use embroidery thread, and this really helps to provide a different range of color. I love the ability to add something different in my work. This really adds a different dimension to my pillowcases or tablecloths etc. Great package.
