I was looking for a change to my entry. Old chandelier didn't provide enough light for me and it looked dated. The diameter of this (15") matched the diameter of my old chandelier. Initially, I thought it was small. Put it together easily (and I'm no handyman). Hired someone to install, and he did it in 15 minutes, so it must have been easy, especially considering the ceiling is 15' high. When we put in the bulbs, the "Wow" factor occurred. So much light emanated from the three bulbs! Love the shadows it casts on the ceiling, and the overall look is definitely more appealing. Why a 4 and not a 5? When I assembled it, I noted some bent parts on the base of the light bulb sockets. I bent them back. Also, light bulb sockets took some tweaking to make them straight. Not a big deal. I am very happy with this purchase/product. I also appreciated a personal note from the seller checking on my product satisfaction. Nice touch. ... show more

Great value for the money. Very similar to the ones in Lowe’s or Home Depot for a fraction of the price. All the pieces fit together well. The black matte is beautiful - it is black inside and out, with a tiny touch of gold on the edges. However, when lit, the inner parts seem like they are gold too, but they are not. Without being lit, it is mostly a black orb, modern looking. My photo makes it seem larger than it really is, but I zoomed so it shows up well. I didn’t get new bulbs yet (I threw in the old fashioned ones from the old chandelier), so I expect the look to improve even more with little Edison bulbs or something else.
