  • Essential for Top Tier Flying
We put this gem to work on a commercial shoot within hours of receiving it and it performed magnificently. The ease of use, programmable controls, bright screen and responsiveness are the best DJI has done. The HDMI output was essential to the additional crew who were monitoring, taking notes, logging shots and making suggestions for later scenes. Paid for itself on the first day. ... show more

  • Two Thumbs Up for the RC Pro!
So far so good with this $1,070 “used” RC Pro! I got the RC Pro to pair with my Air 2S, Mini 3 Pro and Mavic 3. I already have RC Controller that came with the Mini 3 Pro but I really wanted to experience the RC Pro. I took a chance by buying it used but I must say that I’m very happy I did. Shipping was laterally 2 days to my door step. I was concerned that I was going to receive a used unit that was scratched or otherwise just “used”. What I received was a unit in its original DJI product box still shrink wrapped and unopened. The product box was slightly dented in on the corners but not excessively. I opened the box and removed the plastic bag from the RC Pro. The charging cable and “instruction” was also inside just as expected from a new unit. It’s literally a brand new RC Pro controller and I paid $1,070 (plus tax). It had about 50% battery charged out of the box when I turned it on. Since it had never been linked to another drone my setup was easy and flawless for all three of my drones. Charged it to 100% overnight, no issues with charging it. Flew today with all three drones and all is perfect so far and so far all my concerns are gone. Yeah, I definitely love this thing and for me it’s a nice upgrade from the RC Controller (which is also a very nice unit, love the RC Controller too!). This thing feels premium and solid, really nice! I definitely enjoy having the extra custom buttons on the RC Pro and I use them all. So bottom line, I literally had none of the issues that others have had in the comments. Maybe I got lucky but definitely happy just the same. I was prepared to immediately return this unit if it were scratched or otherwise in an over used condition but I’m definitely keeping this unit. By the way, I bought the Mavic 3 used from the same seller recently. Same thing, the drone was new and in perfect condition. No problem at all with the setup and adding DJI Care refresh to it. I’m just a regular customer, and this is a legitimate product review. No one influenced my comments. ... show more

  • Works perfect with DJI Air2s
Bought this to replace the Air2s stock controller. In direct sunlight, the Galaxy S22 Ultra I was using is bright for 5 mins. Then as the S22 gets hotter, the display dims a bit (guessing to save wear/tear on it). The display on the DJI RC PRO stays bright even after 1 hr in direct sunlight thanks to on board fans. In my opinion worth the high price for a display that stays very bright for longer. Also like the convenience of power on and go. No putting phone in controller and attaching usb cable.... Highly recommended if you can afford this pricey little gem. ... show more

  • I'm sure the product was fine, but the company and experience has been horrible!
Nothing wrong with the product, just the company. I actually never even took it out of the box because I no longer needed it. Upon receiving the item, I immediately filed a return, placed the provided return label back on the unopened box and dropped it off at the Post Office. It has been 5 months and I have still not gotten a refund. I spent hours trying to reach someone from Jim Bros. Camera and there is no way to reach them. Amazon just keeps routing me through their AI prompts with no way to contact them. The AI chat bot eventually allowed me to send Jim Bros a message. I have now sent 2 messages in the last 5 months and have never received a response. I disputed the charge with my credit card company, but they were unsuccessful because Jim Bros. responded that they never received the product back. I am yet to talk to anyone and it seems I am now out nearly $1,000 and several hours of my time over the past 5 months. ... show more

  • The DJI RC Pro is much better than the DJI RC and much more expensive.
I really like this product, the reason I am returning this one is because the right antenna was loose and would not stay in position. I am returning this one and ordering the exact DJI RC Pro. I have 2 DJI RC controllers and 1 DHI RC Pro. I have 3 drones. The DJI Mini 3 Pro is light and takes good picture and videos. The DJI Mavic 3 Pro is heavier and bigger but takes great picture and videos with the plus of having to 2 telephoto lenses. The 3rd Drone is my beginner drone, a Eachine E520S. It is inexpensive but does not compare to my 2 DJI drones. I have my Commercial FAA 107 Drone License and love flying my drones!! ... show more

  • Just Awesome!
Absolute perfection compared to using your phone and regular controller. I also got .5 more mile range (with my Mavic 3) with the dual antenna system this has. Screen is very bright in sunlight. Love it! I have been into drones for 8 years now and this RC Pro is just great! Changes my whole outlook on flying drones now that I can stop putting my phone up there. Seemed I would always hit the power off button while flying and I had to fumble with the set up. Well that ended today. I find myself flying more and more. My picture I enclosed does not do the screen justice because the camera set the ISO off the sidewalk but the screen is very very bright in direct sunlight. If you have the money I would highly recommend this over the non pro version. I fully recommend this and if I end up dropping and breaking this by accident I would not hesitate to repurchase it. It's that good. ... show more

  • Excellent.
This makes using the drone so much better. Love not having to attach the phone or tablet to the transmitter. It’s usual DJI quality. The screen is very bright, even in direct sun light. Now with the screen at its brightens t it does consume the battery faster but that’s to be expected I guess. Overall the RC PRO to me is worth it. Less gear to carry around with you. ... show more

  • A nice upgrade from the DJI RC and N1, but...
I've used the RC and RC-N1 extensively prior to getting the RC-Pro, so I'm familiar with how they operate. And I was happy with them, but I needed an HDMI out option badly enough for me to switch out to the RC Pro for my Mini 3 Pro. And I've now had this a while and am pretty familiar with this one. There are a lot of plusses (and a few minuses) with this one over the others. Aside from the clean HDMI output (in 1080p), it has a lot more features not found on the others. No need to list them here, and there are a lot of resources that cover them already out there. This review will focus on differences I have noted between this and the other remotes, rather than a tedious breakdown of all the capabilities you can find anywhere. Your experience may vary. HDMI- As I mentioned, it's the only one compatible with the M3P that has this. I need it for my live streams. It easily wins here. HDMI out right into my Yolobox Pro works flawlessly. Customization- Again, easily wins here. A lot of buttons with a lot of things you can use them for. More than I'll need as an amateur, no doubt. I've set a few, and there are so many more, I can't even think of uses for them at this time. That's a lot. Comfort- This is where give-and-take comes in. I find this is a lot more comfortable in my hands. Holding it, slappin' the sticks, and reaching the button locations is more natural and ergonomic to me than the other remotes. The C1 and C2 buttons are a bit too easy to press accidentally, so you need to sort of train yourself a little on how to avoid that. But that's not a knock in my book. Where it falls short is the weight. Without a neck strap, fatigue sets in fairly quickly on long flights. I can get 40+ minutes per M3P battery, and I often have it up that long. This thing is relatively heavy, and you feel it over time much more than with the DJI RC. The N1 also had weight issues for me, but that was because it was also holding a big tablet I used as the screen. The DJI RC wins in the long term comfort/less fatigue area. Battery life- This is one of two big issues I have with this fella. After maybe two hours of total use, I am close to one bar on the remote battery. Yes, I can charge it of course, but I expected better life from the battery than I get in the field. Same flight times with the RC netted more life. I'm sure this is due to the limited functionality of it compared to the RC Pro, but I hoped for similar discharge rates. Maybe more horsepower would have made it way too heavy. I don't know. RC and N1 win here. Range- This is the other big issue I have. Regardless of how I position the antennas, and however the transmission bands are set, it has by my estimation about 15% less range than I got with the RC and N1 units. I don't know why this is, but I tested the same M3P with the RC and the RC Pro in similar situations, and found I got more range overall with the RC. It's definitely not a deal breaker since I don't fly enormous distances, but there are people that do, and I think they would find this interesting. I'm open to ideas as to why, and how to get better range without modifying the unit. I've seen others on the internet state the same issue. RC and N1 win here. Heat- It gets hot during use, more so than the RC and N1. This is likely due to the bright screen and extra brain power, but it's noteworthy for me because I'm not used to a controller getting this hot. It does have an internal fan that kicks on, which also likely contributes to the short battery lifespan too. In summary, this is a very nice controller with a whole lot of features and is very easy to use, and I think you would love it. But, it comes with a hefty price tag, so unless there are must-have features you can't live without, I don't see a huge motivation for getting this over the other remotes. If your only interest is a built in screen, go with the DJI RC. (But if you choose this anyway, you will definitely love it). ... show more
