abunda_amazon_reviews Many buyers of the Mavic Pro have written and explained what a great drone this is. I won't repeat any of that. Instead do this to get the most use and enjoyment out of this fantastic piece of technology. Take the time to view the many tutorials on You Tube that explain the amazing features this drone has to offer. The best videos I found were posted by the following people. Drone Valley, Ready-Set-Drone, Timothy Sunday. Ed Ricker, Billy Kyle and last but not least DJI Tutorials. These people will give you the confidence needed to get the most out of your drone and also what accessories you should buy to protect your drone from damage. In my opinion because the drone sits so close to the ground a landing pad which will prevent dirt from getting sucked into your drone and protect your delicate gimbal when landing in the grass or dirt is a must. A aftermarket gimbal cover with an opening in front of the camera lense adds more protection for the gimbal without blocking the cooling fans air intake. Landing gear extenders raise the drone and add 1 1/4" to it's ground clearance which is more than double. If you fly indoors or outside near trees, a set of propeller guards is a good investment. Finally in addition to the 1 year standard warranty covering factory defects, DJI offers a "Care" package for $99 which amounts to insurance that will replace your drone up to twice if you destroy it in a crash or drowned it in water for a deductible of $79 the first time and $129 the second. And so they accepted the drone for a refund, and I re-ordered from a third party seller on Amazon. DJI makes amazing products but their customer service, especially on such an expensive piece of equipment, is horrible. You can definitely see the culture clash between the US and China here in terms of attitude toward customers. I will continue to buy DJI products because they are amazing. After a total 2.5 hours on the phone, I was finally able to speak to the supervisor who said "Sorry, you're just going have to go through the process". I am boiling over in anger over this. I spent $1300 on a broken product and they have the nerve to not send me a brand new one. There is not a chance that I will purchase another product from DJI, it's no secret that they are mistreating their current customers and only worried about acquiring new customers. Drone: Great Customer Service: HORRIBLE
This drone is absolutely amazing. Records great video and gives you a whole new perspective on the world. Super easy to fly. So why only one star? Because of the horrible customer service with DJI. The first Mavic Pro I ended purchasing had a gimbal error on it. The error message was something about a "gimbal overload." Please read before buying Mavic Pro or any DJI Product
I purchased the Mavic Pro Fly Bundle (through the DJI store), and after having it less than 2 weeks, my camera stopped working (never crashed, not a scratch on it). The camera would no longer focus (see attached picture) Now my drone is in the repair process which I'd like to lay out for you, from my experience and from the words of DJI employees.
