I've seen a lot of good and bad reviews. The truth is that, from this manufacturer and the relative pricing, this is a good platform for beginners and intermediate pilots. Is there more you could ask for at this price point? Yes. Pro: -It is cheaper than it's bigger brother Mavic Pro and Pro 2. -Fun and easy to fly - Can train child to fly it - has front, rear, bottom obstacle avoidance - can fly (and take video/pictures) without controller (hand gestures) -Controller charges connected device Con: -Flight time is 15 minutes in calm conditions (1.2 mile range) -No mechanical zooming (can zoom on your phone or tablet display but resolution gets low) -wifi signal gets a lot of interference - Have to compass recalibrate every flying session or when you move locations ... show more

Amazing drone. Better than the Pro in my opinion. Haven’t had any of the range issues that people complain about, but I never fly my drone out of visual range. Only complaint is I wish I could fly this for an hour on one battery. But alas, you get just about 20 min. And don’t forget to leave yourself anough juice to get home!!! I got the fly more package but I’m ordering More batteries soon. ... show more

The Mavic air is a perfect drone. It's small and easy to transport. Excellent range and battery life. There are so many safety features that you would almost have to intentionally wreck in order to lose it. Highly recommended.

I got this thing in the mail and initially it was pretty cool, tried it out and after a few days the controller were no longer connect to my cell phone and I could not connect to the mavic. The Wi-Fi signal it uses is absolute trash never buy a drone that uses Wi-Fi only! Radio signals is a must! whole point of a drone is to be able to fly away from you and see a bunch of stuff but if your connection is always hazy and at a loss, you never took the shots you want. And I return this to Amazon over two weeks ago, and they still haven't put the money back into my account! Amazon wtf! ... show more
