  • DJI Racing Edition Goggles are $$$ but worth it !!
These are the DJI Goggles - Racing Edition. I purchased these to get into FPV. I purchase and use DJI products because of their quality and value. This product was no exception. Build quality is high and packaging is like an Apple product...very nice and compact. The biggest reason I got the racing edition is the Mavic Pro Platinum syncs with these over Occusync. Let this sink in....when you use the Platinum you use the goggles and controller untethered...talk about immersive !! The RE edition goggles also sync to Analog drones using 5.8ghz standard channels or you can purchase a stand-alone Occusync system. The view in the goggles is UNBELIEVABLE. With the Platinum putting out 1080p to the two independent lcd's it's just like YOU are sitting in the drone. You can use them in head tracking mode to control drone or camera. I wear glasses and had no problem using them inside goggles. The goggles have a long range compared to typical or enhanced wifi that most drones use. I also hooked them up to my computer and XBOX using the HDMI connection...WOW...that's pretty cool too... These work with Analog drones too over 5.8ghz and DJI provides 2 antennas with the goggles. Latency is typical over Analog at 50ms. While Fat Sharks seem to dominate the goggle market I've always felt they were kind of slapped together (Dominater Mod make you look like a borg) and are not as immersive as these. With the full package they also cost as much as these. I have only used for a few minutes of flight but these are awesome in the FPV role on a DJI drone... ... show more

  • So huge, but so cool!
Huge. So huge. But equally well built and impressive. Decent battery life, great image quality, and analog mode lets you pick up the feed from your race or freestyle quad. Very slick.... as long as you don’t mind looking like a goof.

  • Eye Adjustments May Not Fit Some Pilots - Suggest Try Before You Buy
Goggles have adjustment for eye spacing. Adjusting this is critical - if not right you see double vision. My eyes are close set and the adjustment range was not sufficient and I could not focus. This may be a factor for some people, and it seems an unfortunate shortcoming in the mechanical design. If you set binoculars narrow, then make sure you try these before you buy. Also DJI support is not the best IMO and the process for updating firmware is a little confusing, and there may be issues with the support of these on certain newer drones like the P4Pv2. Check all before you buy. So Disappointed - I was really looking forward to playing with these. ... show more

  • Quality+ Durability+ Colors+ Out of body experience+ Messes with eyes-
The media could not be loaded. Hello everyone, and welcome to Threat Level Panda Reviews here on Amazon. In case you all are new to this channel, I have an Amazon page, a website, and Youtube channel. All you have to do is search for Threat Level Panda Reviews. Lets begin. The DJI RE Goggles, have to be one of the coolest things to VR I have ever seen. Upon opening the package, I am greeted with the goggles, it self in a nice black and red finish. The manuals could be done a little better IMHO, but honestly doesn't take away the experience. (I will throw a video in this review) The setup wasn't at all a hassle since basically you put the head band in the little slot until it click, and charge this bad boy up. It takes about 4 hours to fully charge, but gives you 6 hours of usage which is a plus. You also get to wear your prescription glasses with these which is another plus, but tend to get stuck when taking off the goggles. When powering on the system for the first time, make sure you either download the DJI Assistant 2 app on PC or with Mavic Users just turn the drone on, your phone app on, and the headset on. It will automatically detect your drone and update any new firmware issues. When everything is good to go, take your drone out, adjust any settings, and get ready for a life changing experience. When you think your getting the best experience using a phone and controller, think again. When you see how you are just a little speck on this world, really changes your outlook on life. Unfortunately this may just be me, but I suffer from very sensitive eyes, and loss or left peripheral vision. When I was looking with these goggles, it looked like the left eye was behind the right eye, but a mere couple of miliseconds. Very Noticible on my end. My father is going to try these and see if he notices any difference when using them, and if he does, then I know it wasn't just me. Will update this post when it happens. I also noticed a small headache, nothing terrible, but it could be from the weight of the goggles, to possibly being so close to the screen I wasn't used to it. You will if it is your first time, get motion sickness. My brain was telling me to walk forward with my legs, that I was going up a very fast elevator, or my soul was being lifted out of my body. It really messes with you. Another feeling I had was that similar like the glass elevator with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Do I recommend these? Only if you are a pro drone enthusiast. Anyone who is new or a medium user, I wouldn't recommend at this point. Its cool to try it, but honestly do not mind having an Iphone 8 connected to the drone and flying that way. If your a pro drone user, then of course I recommend these, they are awesome. But for the beginner and medium user, I just don't see a normal use with these. They are big, bulky, hard to transport, and just honestly to much for my taste. The price is also a little to much to ask. I know there is a lot of parts put into this, but 597, I mean come on..... I could understand if it was 300 at the max, but almost 600 is to much honestly. Do I think you ill like them? It all depends on the individual. I recommend trying them out first to see if they fit your needs. Honestly I plan on sending mine back, mainly for messing with my eyes way to much. I use Blu light blocker prescription glasses, and even those didn't do justice. Verdict. If you have 600 dollars to spend freely, then yes I recommend these goggles. These were designed mainly for the Mavic Pro and I happen to have that drone, and was very surprised how easy it was to use this product. Just remember, 600 dollars will go a long way, and to splurge it on goggles, I just don't agree with the price for these at this time. I really wish for the price that 4K would be in the goggles, but 1080p was still nice. I think as long as you have a Iphone and a controller that is all you will need with your drone. You can always get a new battery for your phone, and honestly I just find it to be easier and more convenient in my day to day use. I hope you found my review helpful, and for many other reviews, make sure to check out my YouTube channel, amazon profile, and website. The website can be found in the about section on my YouTube page, and it works better on a pc. Thanks again everyone, and will see you in the next review to come. ... show more

  • Serious compatibility issues with the DJI Mavic 2.
Slight range issues with these goggles. Very good range (over 16,000') in open country, but are somewhat affected by suburbuan WiFi signals.

High quality goggles, nice resolution on the 2 1080 screens. Using on a DJI spark drone, playing xbox, and watching movies with the HDMI inlet.

  • Excellent for racing, but stay away if you're doing photography, video, or real estate gigs
The media could not be loaded. Top takeaways: - Don't get these if your main goal is photography. - Pretty much just locks you on straight-on. So it's great for racing, but not great for lining up your drone when taking photos. Then again, if you're racing... you probably wouldn't have a DJI drone, which is what this is designed for. (note: I know you can hook up other racing drones, but just saying... it's kind of funny they're marketing this as a racing goggles, and their main market is not racing drones. But hey, I guess they're trying, right?) - Clunky user interface. You'll find yourself flipping these up so you can look down at your controller. - Heavy and will eventually hurt your neck. - Comfy, fake leather--so at least there's not rubbing. - Expensive for what you get. - Beautiful visual quality. Overall I returned these. The UI made it impossible to work with the settings that I need to access on my drone when taking photos and video. If you use these Goggles for racing, you'll be good. But stay away if you're using them for videography or real estate shoots. Hope this helps! ... show more
