I already had several DJI Drones before this one. All of them are amazing little machines, with their own set of features which differentiates them from one another. The 360 camera on this one makes it not just unique, but revolutionary. It is not exactly a replacement for any of the others but if I had to choose just one and get rid of the others... it would have to be this one. I already had both the RC 2 controller and the Goggles N3 with the motion controller 3. Both have their advantages with this drone, but on occasions when I use this with the RC 2 I will have AR goggles plugged into the USB3 port for the more immersive experience. I also have a lot of experience going back approximately 10 years with 360 cameras and taking photos with a wide-angle lens and 360° Rotating Panoramic Head tripod adapter and then stitching the exposures together into a 360 degree panorama. The problem with using a DSLR with a tripod adapter is that it is limited to photography, The problem with 360 cameras that can do both is that they cannot match the image quality of cameras with a standard lens. I have several 360 cameras including the Insta360 X5. The camera on this drone is superior to all of the 360 cameras that I own. Combining it with a very capable drone is simply a masterstroke. If you do not already have a capable camera drone, then this one will be an amazing supplement to that machine. If you do not it is possible to use this one like a standard drone in single lens mode, but the angle of the lens is considerably wider than that of a standard drone camera and there are currently no ND filters available for this camera. Combined this means that you will have reduced image quality compared to a drone like the mini 5 pro, or even my mini 4 pro, Avata 2, or Flip when taking standard drone video. Will this matter? Depending on your interests, maybe not. This is an incredible drone. I would suggest that you do a search for YouTube reviews that show how to edit the footage you get in DJI Studio which is free to use with the drone. You will also want to download the LUT file that works correctly with this drone. To get this file you currently have to use a service such as NordVPN and log in to a Canadian server or there is a regional block that prevents you from downloading the LUT file. Exquisite footage, 360 is nuts, follow is fantastic and I love the controller too. I'll update if I find any complaints later, but so far this is amazing. UPDATE: I was able to easily connect my VITURE XR/AR Glasses and they worked incredibly well as FPV goggles. It was so fun all the neighborhood kids came over to give it a try. That alone may have made this worth it... cool toy! However, I bought it for my influencer business, so I still need to get out there on my electric motorcycles to see how well it follows at speed. ... show more

oh boy, what an ordeal between you tube chatgpt, dji, 5 hours. firmware up dates, just to get the goggles and motion control 3 to play… . This SOB is fast, i mean 40 mph vertical, RTH better wear a crash helmet, this dude drops FAST Images are awsome, gonna take me a while to learn framing Oh oh, problem 1 There is a "bug" in recording 360. I get about 2 mins of recording before the recording stops. You have to watch the recording timer, when it stops u have to restart recording. I have dumbed it down, lower resolution, record only drone. Nothing pervents this from happening. I find this to be a SERIOUS bug. As a retired programer, i would place the command in a loop, when stops, restart. The internet does not mention this error. Will be reporting this to DJI another problem, any FCC LIGHTS show up in video. kinda funny 😄, strange lights appear like UFO's floating on the screen. I can get the RID to work, still working on that ... show more

DJI makes a great drone. It’s the only manufacturer that I will choose. It’s sad though that our government is wanting to ban them from our country in particular the FCC they are undermining the people who make a living whistle drones are using them as a hobby. The FCC is wanting to ban DJI future products from this country, which is unfair because they’ve done no true. Actual honest audit to show the DJI was doing anything the furious go to the FCC website and protest. Their decision there is time DJI makes safety a very real concern. They have the best radio control systems on the market that are second to none shame on the FCC for wanting to band DJI! ... show more

Note the product I received is the UK/EU variant. Package arrived on time in great shape. Since this is a new drone to the USA market, I carefully checked the info inscribed on the drone body. Buyers should know this has the UK1 designation, meaning it was manufactured and, presumably, preconfigured for the UK/EU market. It should work ok here in the US, but care should be taken to set the location to US before downloading latest US firmware (important to ensure correct FCC frequencies are honored) and be careful to ensure the drone is set to the correct US RFI protocol. It's loud, 81dB, but I knew that before purchase. I'll update after full setup followed by some flight experience and amend review - hopefully to a 5! ... show more
