This was my 6th DJI drone that I've purchased. Being a 360 user since Insta360's first camera, and had to have a drone with the 360 degree feature. I love the weight of the drone, as it feels high quality and sturdy. It flies like a dream, as do all DJI drones. It's great not worrying about where to look, as you can see everything when you edit the footage. Flying the drone was easy to learn, and I can see a beginner having no trouble learning how to fly quickly (With the RC2 controller). My son and I have a blast flying this drone, it's fast, shoots great video, and you never miss a shot. As for thedownsides...a battery only lasts about 18 minutes, so get a few extras, or the fly more combo, and it is louder than any other drone I've flown. ... show more

    • Incredible Drone but this one Got "No Signal" For Way Too Long
Style: DJI Avata 360 (DJI RC 2)
I have had over half a dozen DJI drones over the last 10 years or so, all still in service. You take them out of the box, update the firmware, bind them and fly. This one did everything except could not find any satellites. The drone is great but I thought the GNSS system on this one was either damaged or disconnected. After ordering another one and setting up the return, I decided to try one more time, launched it and just left it hovering in the air about 30-40 feet up. After a prolonged period of time, satellites jumped from 0 to 30 and it was fine after that. I’m returning this one anyway as it also showed issues with rebinding and I already received and set up the second one (which is the Fly More option) but it might be fine after all. Regarding the drone, it is a great flying experience and captures footage barely possible with other drones (flying backwards is never easy even with sensors). It is definitely not an Avata 3. It is more like a larger, more stable Neo 2 with an Osmo 360 on it. I love my Osmo 360 (just as good as my Insta360 X4 and matches the color of my Pocket 3) and my Neo 2 and this is like having both combined. I’ll be keeping both my original Avata and my Neo 2 as this one actually carves its’ own space in the arsenal. Now I have the RC 2, Goggles 3, Motion Controller and FPV Remote which all work on the Neo and the Avata 360. Love the way DJI now integrates devices and drones to make them multi-functional. Cost of new drones is now much easier to digest. Only sad observation is that we in the US no longer have the DJI Refresh option so if it crashes, we are SOL. ... show more

    • The Avata 360 is a revolutionary drone and experience.

I already had several DJI Drones before this one. All of them are amazing little machines, with their own set of features which differentiates them from one another. The 360 camera on this one makes it not just unique, but revolutionary. It is not exactly a replacement for any of the others but if I had to choose just one and get rid of the others... it would have to be this one. I already had both the RC 2 controller and the Goggles N3 with the motion controller 3. Both have their advantages with this drone, but on occasions when I use this with the RC 2 I will have AR goggles plugged into the USB3 port for the more immersive experience. I also have a lot of experience going back approximately 10 years with 360 cameras and taking photos with a wide-angle lens and 360° Rotating Panoramic Head tripod adapter and then stitching the exposures together into a 360 degree panorama. The problem with using a DSLR with a tripod adapter is that it is limited to photography, The problem with 360 cameras that can do both is that they cannot match the image quality of cameras with a standard lens. I have several 360 cameras including the Insta360 X5. The camera on this drone is superior to all of the 360 cameras that I own. Combining it with a very capable drone is simply a masterstroke. If you do not already have a capable camera drone, then this one will be an amazing supplement to that machine. If you do not it is possible to use this one like a standard drone in single lens mode, but the angle of the lens is considerably wider than that of a standard drone camera and there are currently no ND filters available for this camera. Combined this means that you will have reduced image quality compared to a drone like the mini 5 pro, or even my mini 4 pro, Avata 2, or Flip when taking standard drone video. Will this matter? Depending on your interests, maybe not. This is an incredible drone. I would suggest that you do a search for YouTube reviews that show how to edit the footage you get in DJI Studio which is free to use with the drone. You will also want to download the LUT file that works correctly with this drone. To get this file you currently have to use a service such as NordVPN and log in to a Canadian server or there is a regional block that prevents you from downloading the LUT file. Horrible I brought as a grift and it only worked one day glad I added insurance they gave me my money back but not the taxes we have 4 DJI drones and never had any issues until now I don’t know if it’s the company or the seller spent to much money and lost out 50 dollars on taxes very disappointing

Maybe I misunderstood what I was buying, but I expected the suction to last longer than one or two seconds before having to lift it out and reset. Perhaps it’s useful for walking around a pool to pick up small debris bits one at a time, but for a spa? Completely useless. I will definitely be returning it.

DJI makes a great drone. It’s the only manufacturer that I will choose. It’s sad though that our government is wanting to ban them from our country in particular the FCC they are undermining the people who make a living whistle drones are using them as a hobby. The FCC is wanting to ban DJI future products from this country, which is unfair because they’ve done no true. Actual honest audit to show the DJI was doing anything the furious go to the FCC website and protest. Their decision there is time DJI makes safety a very real concern. They have the best radio control systems on the market that are second to none shame on the FCC for wanting to band DJI! ... show more
