Still give 5 stars to DJI for creativity. Lot of pros and and a lot of cons. Pros: great drone overall. Awesome quality of videos and pictures. 360 is huge big deal. Flying stable. Even sustain some heavy winds. Cons: oh man, where should I begin??? I guess the size does matter. It’s bigger than 1 and 2 versions. Heavier but fights the wind good. It is not true FPV and not able so far to fly as FPV, perhaps some updates later. So if you like FPV keep your Avata 2 for that reason and 360 for cinematic 360. Having a bigger size eliminates to fly the obstacles and gaps as too tight spaces and sensors are stopping and landing the drone down. The battery life is not good. After 12 minutes better be closer, so length of flight is semi restricted. The good thing is 3 batteries combo helps. Changing them is not bad especially if you have adapters for the car charger and once you are driving it charges by itself. Drone is faking the flips, but the cool part of it, it is really doing but they the software. That is funny. J was expecting do the flip, but the drone just continued to fly but it showed like it did even in my Goggles. I am not big fun of RC2 as it looks like you flying a regular drone and not FPV, so Goggles with Motion RC 3 from my Avata 2 made life more exciting. So the answer is I still like it but perhaps DJI is going to do some updates for true FPV flying experience. Also, Another learning curve experience with 360 development from DJI Studio which constant required to update your drivers to use the high quality videos. But after updates lot of your internal programs becomes Chinese scribbled and some Videos becomes either flushing or distorting, so I prepped them First in 4K and then move 4K video to My Premiere Pro to do the real work. Anyway, 8K sounds great, but I don’t see the software or supporting program or even tv for that. DJI technology is exceeding any marketing tools so far. Even their supporting DJI studio is only making a video of 4K quality. Did I say it Right? 8K capability supports only 4K and where are my other 4K? Still up in ther air left or in iCloud? So the answer is still Yes for fun and kind of easy but have more gears to protect that investment needed especially for the lenses as they are get scratched quick and easy. ... show more

The first Avata 360 that I received was a Fly more Combo, with DJI Goggles N3. first I registered it with the FAA and then went for a spin. It did not connect to satellite, No mater what I did. Out of desperation, I called DJI tech support. The representative spent over 2.5 hours with me, recalibrated everything, re-updated the firmware, data base, all tricks he could suggest were tried and still no success. He told me that the device must be defective and I should return it, which I did (still awaiting the refund from Amazon). So I reordered another one, this time a Fly More Combo with the RC 2. After I updated the firmware for both the drone and the RC, I took it out side to fly it, at first the satellite signal was showing “0”. Then I started to run it and flew it around, still no signal detected. Then as soon as it ascended to around 60 feet altitude, the satellite signal was found (phew). I also paired it with DJI Goggles 3 (not the N3!). Paired reality and absolutely no problem. Very joyful immersive flight experience. Overall, it is a fun drone to fly, so far with the RC 2. While really pissed me off with the first delivery, I am still giving it a 5 star (for now it’s just a first impression). ... show more

Very impressive. The technology is excellent. Hoping that we never have to go to war with China. It would be ugly for US and ugly for THEM. Why can't we be friends? You might want install the no cost DJI Studio on a Windows PC or an Apple Mac it a little klunky but for what it does - it's amazing. Unfortunately DJI doesn't support any Linux Distro. ... show more

First of all, the seller was great. This review is for the drone only, the video from the drone is terrible, it's mushy and WB is way off. It's definitely does not seem to be 4k , and 8k is just both 4k cameras together as I understand it and who has an 8k tv? All the 360 videos must be edited before viewing unless you view them thru DJI Studio, after editing the video is changed to an mp4 file and you can no longer pan around so it is not 360 anymore. The drone has its place for some people I'm sure but falls short for me. The Antigravity 360 drone has far superior footage in my opinion but after having the Avata 360 this type of video/filming is not for me. ... show more

So this is more of a review if you are have GPS issues. Like everyone else i too had the problem with my drone not connecting to any satellites. Rather then just giving up and returning it. Here is what I did to fix this issue. Also note the 3rd party i bought the drone from is "Hibikin-US" and, yes its a real DJI drone, so if you bought from them, don't fret, its a real global Avata 360 and not the Chinese version. ~ Do this at home ~ 1. Setup the controller, and update the firmware on the controller using the built in update feature on the controller itself (No PC Required) 2. Follow the setup steps to connect to your Avata 360. 3. Update the firmware on your Avata. 4. Power off the drone and controller, then connect everything again, - When connected to the drone again, press the "..." icon in the upper right hand corner - Go to the "About" Tab - Next to Aircraft Firmware press "Check for Updates" - If it says there is an update, update the drone's firmware again. 5. Go to the "Safety" Tab in the "..." menu, scroll down to Sensors->Compass normal and run a compass calibration. 6. Turn off the controller and drone. 7. Drive to a nearby park that has a wide open area that is a little distance from your home. 8. In the field with a wide open view of the sky, turn on the drone and controller. 9. Go to the "Safety" Tab in the "..." menu, scroll down to Sensors->Compass normal and run a compass calibration. Note: Yes do this again in the new location. 10. Wait about 10 minutes or less and then youll see the drone connect to tons of satellites! At this point you can take the drone home like I did, your drone now has the satellite problem fixed. I powered up the drone inside of my apartment and took flight! See the photo for proof. Now I just got the drone today, so I do not have a review for the drone itself, I just wanted to help those who are having the satellite problem (Which seems like everyone) ... show more

After firmware update, fire up the drone in an open area and send up to about 100 feet. Let sit for about 2-10 minutes. Satellites will appear. (I also did the compass and IMU calibrations first; don't know if this helped.)
