    • battery slots too tight
My only objective criticism is the slots for the batteries are too tight (not wide enough). I could only fit 3 of the 4 AAs of the first brand I tried. I tried another brand that did fit, but the fit was so tight, the battery was being held away from the positive contact. I had to "manually" scoot it forward. Usually the spring pushing against the negative is enough to scoot the battery forward to making contact with the positive contact. Moving on to more subjective criticisms (some people would consider these to be features not bugs): personally I'm not crazy that it plays (at full volume) a "welcome" tune when you turn it on. And then stays at full volume. IMO better to "remember" the last volume used, and perhaps not play a "welcome" at all. A feature I wish it had was transpose. Transpose is often useful on any keyboard, but especially one with such a limited number of keys (18). To avoid having an extra button, perhaps transpose could have been implemented as an "advanced" feature activated by, for example, holding down both up-volume and down-volume (+ and -) buttons at the same time and then pressing the desired note that the "C" key would map to. With some way of indicating this feature on the labelling/front panel. Such an "advanced"/"secret" feature would be more for adults to help set it up for a kid than for kids (esp. younger kids) to be expected to use. ... show more

    • Adorable piano for a child
Got this for my son. He loves it. I must say, that this is a beautiful little synthesizer piano. It’s well made and makes a perfect gift for a toddler who shows an interest in music. I love how it’s also easy to carry and take it on the go.

    • Decent but has some pretty big flaws
Pros: - it’s a working keyboard! - nice materials, doesn’t feel plasticky - cute art work - four instrument option is good Cons: - turns on WAY too loud, have to turn it down to min volume each time - you are forced to listen to a 5-10s long jingle every time it’s turned on, at maximum volume; you can’t turn volume down before jingle is complete - there are combinations of keys that when pressed together sound a completely different note; this is truly bizarre but as a piano player was an issue I noted within 1 minute of trying this - the piano isn’t usable for anything other than single melodies at a time ... show more

I was so pleased when I opened the box and saw what my grandchildren would be receiving for Christmas! The artwork and sound are delightful. This surpassed my expectations and far better than the other keyboards for toddlers. I actually made a post about this product because I thought it was just that awesome!     • Beautiful sounds
My 2.8 son loves music but I didn't want to buy him a piano with lots of buttons and beats because it can be too much at this age (and for the parents too😜) so this piano is perfect! Lovely sounds and looks. And not too colorful and noisy for younger kids.

Just received, put in fresh batteries, and lo and behold, it does not turn on! I can’t believe this is $50.

    • Cheap Plastic despite being fancy "european" design.
I was really looking forward to this piano for my child. The design is very cute and I liked that it was very basic and did not have flashing lights and unnecessary sounds. Aside from that the piano broke after being used just twice and under my supervision. My child turned the switch from on to off, and back on again, and then suddenly the piano stopped working. Overall it just feels very lightweight and fragile to begin with and not worth the $50+ price tag if it can't survive gentle use. ... show more
