  • Great job Ridgid
Number of Items: 1
I was VERY pleasantly surprised to find that the 2 silver end inserts were metal instead of plastic! I was expecting them to be plastic and wear out quickly on metal nuts. Great job Ridgid! I changed out 2 kitchen faucets in 2 weeks. One at my house and one at my rental property. It hadn't yet arrived when I changed out my house faucet, but I didn't know what I was missing until I changed out the faucet in my rental. I didn't need it to remove the rental faucet, as the metal nuts holding it on for at least 27 years were so rusted they fell off or broke off. I used this tool to install the plastic nuts on the faucet and the new sprayer and it made the job MUCH easier than on my house sink!! My back appreciated how much faster this tool made tightening the bottom nuts compared to a basin wrench. ... show more

  • Decent tool
Number of Items: 1
OK first of all, after Home Depot purchased the Ridgid Tool Co, quality started to decline. The tools are still usable, but the company fell the fate of so many before it where it's all about bean counters and bottom-line economics. Unless you're a plumber(I am), you'll probably have to go on Youtube and watch a video of this tool in action. Another plumber has posted a decent video of this tool in use, albeit he gets a little lost in his own description, briefly. It won't fit every supply nut and it's kinda unwieldy for close quarters like the toilet supply to the tank. However, it does a decent number of tasks and I especially like the insert that is designed to turn supply handles off & on. It won't do everything like they imply, but it actually does a few more things the instructions don't mention. Watch the video, the instructions are marginal. ... show more

  • Don't even think about doing a faucet without this!
Number of Items: 1
I'm a weekend handyman at home, at my vacation house, at my mother-in-law's, and at my four kids houses. I've wrestled with my fair share of faucet installations where you can't see, can't fit your shoulders under the sink, can't get both hands into an awkward space, etc. This tool is a life saver. Fits various sizes of hex nuts and all those annoying plastic nuts with the wings. The slot in the side means it can fit around the tubing and reach places the deepest socket wrench could never go. The plastic barrel is fat enough to allow a good grip and plenty of torque for stubborn connections. I just finished a kitchen faucet replacement that would have been nearly impossible without this tool, unless I removed the garbage disposal first, and I certainly didn't want to do that! ... show more

  • Makes the job easier
Number of Items: 1
I am preparing to sell my house and wanted to spruce up the master bath a bit, so I decided to replace the chrome builder faucets with a nice oil rubbed bronze. I took on the job myself. It was my first time doing this type of work, so I wasn't really sure of how to use the tool when I first got it, but once I figured it out it was great. The "hollow" tube allows you to easily work around the tubes and cluttered area under the sink. It's also nice that the took can act as somewhat of a storage for the attachment pieces too. This is a tool that you won't likely use often, but still worth the investment as it makes the job go quicker than having to changes wrenches multiple times. ... show more

  • it is a nice tool and one more insert would make it that ...
Number of Items: 1
I guess it is OK for what it is intended for but - It does not have an insert that fits the hex connector on the end of a sink sprayer hose. I still have to use a the old clumsy basin wrench for that which I was trying to avoid. The product literature says something about use for changing sink sprayers but as far as I can tell, none of the inserts is small enough for that connector. Shame, it is a nice tool and one more insert would make it that much more useful. I will keep it just for its ability to fit over the handle of shut off valves.to help loosen them. ... show more

  • Where has this been all my life?
Number of Items: 1
This is one of those tools that, once you use it, makes you wonder how you ever managed for so long without it. I was a little skeptical after reading some of the other negative reviews, but I decided to try it based on the positive reviews, and the fact that I was desperate for a solution to the agony of sink faucet installations. I have a bad back and laying down at an awkward angle under a sink is very dangerous for me. I needed to replace a 4 hole kitchen faucet (2 handles, 1 sprayer). I used this tool to remove both water supply lines and all 3 plastic faucet retainer nuts in about 2 minutes WITHOUT HAVING TO LAY DOWN AT ALL. I just knelt down and leaned forward, using the tool blindly to remove the old faucet. With the tool's open side, it's easy to get this tool centered and in position even without looking at what you're doing. Yes, the plastic nuts can be prone to slipping or stripping, but the same would be true with vice grips or other tools. If you take your time and make sure the tool is well-seated you shouldn't have any problems (I didn't). I had the faucet off in record time, and without hurting my back. If you need to install a sink faucet, buy this tool. ... show more
