Absolutely amazing!! You have to hand fold small pieces of paper to make accessories like newspapers and boxes. You cut out cupcakes to place on carts that you make and paste together peece by peece. Everything is very intricate and delicate. The attentions to hands on details is breathtaking. I felt very involved in everything added. Not very many "place a already done flower pot here" instead it's use a bead as a pot, glue greens inside, make flowers out of paper, glue where you wish to the greens, then place in house. So worth the money. I'm already looking for another similar build because I'll be so bored when this is done. Be aware you need your own tweezers and knife for some things

What a nice and fun build this was! First the assembly manual. It was pretty good and fairly easy to follow, but there were a few mistakes that the builder just has to figure out as they go. The wood was basically junk. You have to cut the ties with a knife to avoid delamination's and breakages. It's not that hard, but your eyes need to be sharp as well as your knife! This project has plenty of paper/glue work. The pieces are pre-cut, and they fit perfect, but lots of time will be spent at the paper/glue stage. First step is to fold up and glue, nine books and roll up 22 newspapers. If you don't know how or can't figure it out, you'll be hours at it. I roll my newspapers up on a toothpick. It's a very easy way to do it. Pictures don't do this model justice. You can't really see the effect of the lights While I don't feel that this kit is one for novices or beginners, it is a very straight forward build, where the only lag time is waiting for the glue to dry and trying to figure out the next step. Really enjoying it. The white glue doesn't adhere a lot of things in the kit. I started using a small hot glue gun for many things. Simple paper attachments are fine with white glue. Snapping wood pieces out can damage them so best to use a box cutter or exacto to cut where attached so they pop out easier. Definitely takes many days to complete. Need some patience and thinking outside of the box. Pay attention to directions and labeling.

I would suggest reading the full instructions for each section before doing anything so you don't miss a small detail. It was a blast to put together and wast as expensive as it probably should be.

This will be the 8th 3D puzzle I’ve done, so needless to say I’m not a rookie when it comes to these types of projects. And all of the ones I’ve done have been very detailed and complicated. I am so unsatisfied with this one. Problem 1: the instructions are not clear or detailed at all. Problem 2: I find it ridiculous that it requires SO MUCH GLUE yet they don’t provide any glue at all whenever all of the other puzzles I’ve done, most of the pieces snap together and only some require glue, yet those products provide the glue. That seems greedy and doesn’t seem like they have the consumers best interest in mind. Problem 3: there are nearly NO pieces that you don’t have to glue together. The way this product was designed makes it so much harder for the consumer to get the desired results. I spend this much money to buy it and have to turn right around and spend even more money to buy other products in order to even do it. Problem 4: the pieces do not snap out easily and are low quality so when you finally do get them out, they splinter so they have chunks missing out of them. I’m very unsatisfied and if there’s anyone out there looking to buy a 3D puzzle/book nook for the first time, do not start here. This one might turn you away from this hobby and it’s one of the funnest hobbies I’ve ever had. Pick another one. You will love doing these types of projects if you choose the right ones. This one isn’t it. Like what even are these instructions? There’s tiny screws, tiny hinges, and they don’t even provide you with the tools you need to do it efficiently. Yuck.

I’ve been building models for years now and this is the first one I’ve had so many issues with. Here are my suggestions for those who are planning to choose this model: 1. Several pieces are tiny and fragile, so be very careful while handling them. 2. There are no extra beads, so if you lose one, you’re out of luck. Oh and make sure to check them all before assembling because my kit came with a couple missing jewelry pieces. Also, there wasn’t enough gold wire and trust me when I say I did not waste any! 3. Read the manual before putting it together because the instructions are pretty bad. As in, I was already done with the first floor and glued it all before moving to the second floor as per instructions. Then halfway through the second floor, I turn the page only to see I have to add other things to the first floor now. Why? Just why? It’s a tiny model. I used 3 different tweezers to accomplish that and it still didn’t work well. 4. The templates for a couple of the roof pieces are faulty. I was super frustrated and almost crying at that point. 5. Test and label your wires as you go because they aren’t colored, and you don’t want to deal with all that at the end. 6. Buy your own glue. The one that is provided is useless. I rotated between super glue, wood glue and elmer’s glue depending on the material. 7. This is NOT a kit that comes with everything you need. You’ll need to use your own tools. Tweezers, utility knife, scissors, a tiny screwdriver for the tiny screws, ruler, needle/paperclip etc. Overall, it’s a very beautiful model. But the process of putting it together was more frustrating than fun for me as I had to improvise one too many times.
