This review is for the FLYBEAN Miniature House Model F. (Box Label Cute Room Forest Times) The Flybean Miniature House Model F comes in a box labeled Cute Room Forest Times. I believe this is a kit made by Cute Room and boxed and labeled for Flybean. This sweet little DIY Miniature House build is a true build model, not a snap together like book nooks and wooden puzzles. You will be building the tiny house from the components in the kit, and that includes the furniture, decorations, tiny plants etc.. There are a few 3D figurines such as the puppy pictured watering the garden. (I'll probably replace that with a scale miniature that just looks like a real dog.) The kit comes with a set of Tweezers and a ruler. You need to provide glue, batteries, and a small pair of craft scissors. The components of the kit are great quality, and the items are packaged in clearly labeled bags for each step so it's easy to find what you need when you need it. I recommend Aleene's Tacky Glue 3 in 1 Formula. It is non-toxic, pat safe even around birds, dries clear and quickly, and is good for many kinds of applications. I think this would be a great kit for someone looking for their first true miniature house build kit. Enough of the basics is pre made to not be too frustrating for a beginner, the step by step pictorial instructions are easy to follow, and the lighting is simple. You'll be getting just enough of an introduction to different categories of detail making. This kit does require patience, attention to detail, and manual dexterity so 14 is the youngest I would go and the average 14 year old will need a little help. This could be a good weekend shared project for an adult and a young teen or tween. At $9.99 this is an amazing price for this kit....specifically the Forest Times Kit. It does lack a dust cover but they can generally be purchased separately. Looking forward to putting this one together. Definitely recommended.

This was the first time I put together a miniature dollhouse, but it was so much fun! The cost of this little kit was very reasonable for what you get. It took a little bit to get all organized and understand the instructions, but once I got going, I got into a groove and it went smoothly. The instructions are a bit vague, but as long as you have a good head on your shoulders, you can figure it out. This is not really a kit for children, but teens and adults should do fine with it. You will need a few extra instruments to finish this, like glue, I used tacky glue, and it worked wonderfully. I also needed scissors and a few more toothpicks than it came with for applying the glue. I did mess up here and there, but not too much to be noticeable. This was a lovely, relaxing project; I put an audio book going and just started crafting. I am including a soda-can in some of my photos for size reference, it's small, so some of the tiny things can be fiddley putting together, so it's a learning curve, but it's still so much fun. You don't have to glue everything down, so you can move things around; But I am tempted to glue it all down so it doesn't fall apart when accidently bumped. It pretty much looks exactly like the photos once finished, and the lights actually work! In all it took me maybe about 4-6 hours hands on time to finish this. The finished product is so beautiful!
