I splurged on this for myself since I just redid my craft room. I was going to spend around $60 or so on a normal speaker but went with this just based on the cute factor for a little more money. I was worried the sound would be bad or the set up would be really difficult. I am surprised at how good this sounds! I was really surprised about how great the sound quality of the speaker is. I thought it would be more gimmick than function but the speaker works very well. I have been wanting this speaker since it got big on social media during the pandemic and was able to snag it during a sale. It is definitly worth it if you're looking for a good desktop bluetooth speaker. I find having the screen going and the keys light up does drain the battery pretty fast but I just charge it overnight and it's no big deal. Definitely worth it! ... show more

This thing is so weird. It's definitely a novelty item. I just love it, though. You'll know it's different the second you get it. It comes in this nice gift bag, and inside that is about the most premium product packaging I've seen. Then you take it out and it's got nice weight, really high quality plastics, genuinely fantastic mechanical switches on the keys that feel fantastic, and a beautiful little 16x16 pixel screen. Everything on this device looks and feels SO GOOD. As a bluetooth speaker, it's...fine. I watched a lot of reviews saying it was great, and I don't believe it is. I have a over a dozen good bluetooth speakers of various shapes and prices (I'm kind of obsessed), and it sounds like what I'd expect out of a $30-50 bluetooth speaker. Which isn't bad. I've heard worse. My smallest speaker is an Altec Lansing Baby Boom XL that costs $25-30 new, and it didn't sound as good as this. This Divoom sounds louder and has a tiny bit of bass (very little, though) that adds some depth. But my Soundcore Boost speaker - which I THINK cost about $80 new - sounded way better. Then again, it's got two drivers and is a bit bigger, so it's not entirely fair. I didn't bother comparing it with my bigger and more expensive speakers. Basically, expect similar quality to, say, a JBL Clip 4, which is typically in the $50 range. It's way more than a speaker though. It's a fidget toy with the fun mechanical and super tactile keys and buttons. It's got a unique design. It's got a high quality screen. It's got simple games, weather, time, alarm, stopwatch, dice rolling, magic 8 ball, custom text display, and a showcase of pixel art from a large online community. I think the thing is extremely cool and well worth the money if you come in with the right expectations about sound for this size and want something fun to mess around with and cool to look at. ... show more
