I bought this because I loved the pattern. I also knew nothing about wet suits but was picking up kayaking and some other outdoor activities this winter. This suit may be great for 60ish degrees but not much less. Swimming in cold water might me best to get 2 or 3 mm thickness. On a nice day this is definitely warm. Bought this for a Halloween costume and it turned out perfect! Can’t imagine anyone is actually using this as a wetsuit, as the material is as thin as tights and see-through (I wore yoga pants underneath). Size way up! I’m 5’3, 135lbs and the large fit great. The skin guard turned out to be fantastic. We went snorkeling and my fellow snorkelers said the color was very easy to see and follow so we all stayed in a group. It fit well, cleaned up nice, and overall I was thrilled with it! I'll be using it a lot, as I do other water activities too.
