I'm not a fan of the original Switch controllers because the buttons are small. This controller feels great in your hands, the buttons are big which is nice, and pairing to the Switch was super easy. My only reason for deducting the star is that if you don't touch the controller over a period of time it shuts off and then my Switch pauses the game for me to link the controller again. I've had to do it a few times playing Zelda when it's in the middle of a video montage. Outside of that issue, everything else works fine.

This is just what I needed for my switch. It beats using joy cons. I haven't used all of the fancy functions but the basic functions are work great. This controller is a cheap option and provides a great value for playing my switch

About two years ago, I purchased this controller as an add-on for my Nintendo Switch setup, so I could do multiplayer with my family, and I intended not to use it otherwise. Little did I know that this would become my favorite controller I own. I'm really not a guy to gush over products, but I can't tell you enough about how well this has served me. over the years, this thing has been dropped button mashed, and even thrown across the room out of rage (Mario Kart 8, am I right? LOL) but it hasn't given up yet. though one problem is the clunky look, but that's a LOOK, the FEEL is out of this world. I have gamed for 6 hours at a time with this thing, and never have I cramped. my friends all love to use it too. the only issue besides looks, is the grips. the little rubber grips are glued onto the controller, and over time, from hand rubbing and stuff, the layers are peeling off. I get sweaty hands when gaming and I think that may be a part of why the rubber is peeling off. besides that, this is a flawless controller, and I will continue to use it.

This controller rocks! First, the bad: It does not have the complex haptic feedback, but it does have dual shock style rumble. The rumble is quite effective, but you won't feel subtle differences between different situations like you would in a switch pro controller. I'm not certain, but I seriously doubt it's compatible with amiibo. With that out of the way, I love everything else about this controller. I actually use it more than my switch Pro controller lately, because it fits more comfortably in the hands, and I believe it's thumb sticks are superior to any of the Nintendo branded offerings. The buttons are good enough, but I can't brag about them. I can't complain about them either. They are more than adequate. The battery life seems to be pretty good too.

This is a great controller. We own a couple other controllers and this is my favorite for the switch. It’s heavier in the grips and feels sturdy. Played Mario recently with it with motion detection and it was awesome. Overall amazing.
