    • Not great, not terrible
My 16 year-old son and I assembled this bed together. It took us a couple of days. Halfway through the directions, they stopped labeling the pieces, so that took some detective work but wasn't that big of a deal. What was a big deal was that several of the holes weren't drilled accurately, and we had to work very hard to figure out ways to get around it. The biggest deal was that the brackets to hold the drawers did not butt up to the wood pieces, so again we had to find a way around it. Now the drawers sag a little in the middle, which isn't optimal, but it was the best we could do. We also had to screw the back panel of the headboard into the shelf supports otherwise it jiggled every time he moved on the bed, and it made an annoying banging sound. We never installed the shelves because the holes to fit the shelf pegs/pins weren't big enough, and even with hammering, we couldn't get them in and gave up. One last surprise was that the side of the bed that doesn't have the drawers and trundle is left wide open. It's not the end of the world since that side is near the wall, but it's a little strange. Assembling this bed made my son never want to assemble anything on his own again, and he's a pretty handy kid. The sturdiness isn't quite what I expected for $799, but it's decent. Also be aware that this stands pretty high, and even with just a mattress and no box springs, it's a good ways off the ground. So, it is serving its purpose adequately, but I'm not sure it was worth the $799. ... show more

    • Perfect for the pet to go in and out.
Difficult to put together and time consuming definitely would pay to have it brought to the house put together already. Very sturdy bed and good quality. You need at least two people to help you out it together. Went to YouTube for directions and a physical picture to see how to put it together. They should have a link where you can scan or looks up to show how to put items together. ... show more

I raved about this bed (minus assembly, it was a PAIN) before my 11 yo son actually slept in it. After sleeping in it, it is very very wobbly. I dont feel safe on the bed..but he doesnt seem to mind. I would not recommend Discovery world products. It looks nice but the wood is very cheap for the price of the product. ... show more
