My boys are 6 and 8 and love, love dig kits of any kind. However, this one is worthless and should be taken out of circulation. It comes with 2 clay blocks. In this kit, only one of the clay blocks had a tooth in it. The other clay block was EMPTY. And, as you can see from the pic, the tooth you get is almost a full half inch. Geez. Great project for our 5.5 year old daughter. My only qualm is that it should come with goggles. As you chip away, fine particles easy get in the eyes. She ended up wearing swimming goggles. This was a Xmas gift, it’s now February and she’s still chipping away at it.

No shark tooth in either excavation pack. It may have been an exercise in hand and eye coordination for our 7 year old grand, but more so a lesson in the disappointment in life. While important, not why we purchased the product.

I bought this set for my 11 year old granddaughter for her birthday. She absolutely loved it. She enjoyed digging and brushing until each stone was revealed. I was surprised at how many stones were included. Very generous. Highly recommend for any child from 5 to 12.

This is crap. After an hour of digging my son and I found nothing. Zero fossils out of 15!! He was so disappointed. I am hoping the company will give me a full refund. I see the product is unavailable so this may be why. Do not buy this.

This was fun to use for homeschooling but we did end up needing a small hammer to help the chisel and a lot of water to loosen the rock! Children loved them. Will purchase again
