First, anything Discovery brand is good quality. My kids have had many Discovery products, and they are always good quality and fairly priced. This set is going to my youngest for Christmas. It has his favorite thing--dinosaurs and has to be assembled using the plastic drill tool. It has a lot of pieces, including 34 tiny screws, so keep that in mind if toys tend to disappear into a black hole in your home. That being said, this toy gets the kid a chance to use a replica toy drill to assemble the pieces to create the dinos. It's really good for practicing dexterity and even fine motor skills. You'd think this is not a big deal, but it's a huge deal. Kids are playing video games at such an early age and aren't learning to use their hands like kids used to when they would be outside helping grandpa or dad. I think toys that help with skill building are the best kind!!

This was a hot ticket Christmas item and I really like that. It allowed my little one to learn how to build. However, once he started playing with it, the screws kept coming loose. So beware if you have other little ones who might put things in their mouth.

I recently purchased the Discovery Mind Blow Dinosaur Construction Set for my son who loves dinosaurs. The set includes everything needed to build three different dinosaurs: Brachiosaurus, T-Rex, and Triceratops. My son was so excited to receive the set and to get started building. The set comes with a plastic screwdriver that is perfect for little hands. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and my son was able to build all three dinosaurs on his own with just a little help from me. The finished products look great and are durable enough for playtime. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend the Discovery Mind Blow Dinosaur Construction Set to any parent or grandparent looking for a fun and educational toy for their little one.

Fun little toy for kids

Got this for a 6 year old boy, and boy, did he love using the drill for these! That said, this isn't really something smaller children should assemble/completely figure out by themselves. If there's a will there's a way, and there is definitely some shenanigans to be had with the drill. That said, as long as assembly is supervised, it was a great project! He still plays with the toys post assembly, and is proud of making something. Though, I wish they had been a bit bigger, so that he could've done more during construction, without having to fumble around with the screws. They only fell about, 12 or so times, hahaha! Good purchase for the kid in their dinosaur phase!

This set is a big hit. It comes with 3 dinosaurs. Each individually packaged with all the pieces needed to put it together. For the drill, you need need a small screwdriver to remove the cover and 2 AAA batteries. The top button on the drill is to tighten the bottom is to loosen. They may need a little help determining where the pieces go when they put them together, (for example the bottom half of the Triceratops' mouth has to be put into place before you screw the head together) but overall my little guy had a blast with the screws and drill. It has instructions to put the dinos together and it also comes with instructions. On the other side of the instructions are the steps for a science experiment. Very happy with this order.

This building set has ninety pieces to build three dinosaurs. The parts are made well. All are smoothly finished and join together precisely. The entire set meets the quality expectations I have of a brand that's so renowned. It's thoughtfully presented with the pieces of each dinosaur in separate bags and the batteries for the electric screwdriver are included. It's really gratifying to give somebody something that makes them light up. This construction kit combines a love of all things dinosaur with the joy of building models and was a huge hit. Recommended.

I got this toy for my pre-k age nephew who loves tools, building things, and dinosaurs, so it was the perfect combination. It's a nice set and cute packaging. It felt a little lightweight so I question its durability, especially with a rowdy 4 year old. For that reason I took one star off, because at an over $30 price point I would have expected it to be a little bit thicker/heavier plastic. But he loved it and was excited to start playing with it (although probably with help from his parents to assemble - might be better suited to older kids, even though it says 4+).
