We have two of these carseats now and absolutely love them. They are slim and provide a lot of room for both the child using the carseat and the person sitting next to the car seat. I love how these carseats feel open and not so enclosed for the child. The car seat itself is very easy to install correctly and the cover is easily removable and reattachable for easy cleaning. The padding is great and it feels really secure and has great stability. Overall great quality. The only thing I wish that was different, is i wish these came with at least one cup holder. Very robust car seat, tall and narrow size means it can fit with other seats in the row. Latch system is easy to figure out. There is more support than our old car seat. But, this car seat is heavy. All the weight is on the bottom. While good for stability, it was a pain when assembling the car seat, and when having to install. Love the compact size of this carseat. We bought it for my husband's sedan so we can fit this seat for our 5 year old, a booster for our 8 year old and an infant carseat for our 4 month old in the back seat. It's still a little snug but it works. My only complaint is that the car seat is supper heavy, but it's really not that big of a deal. Not sure why all these years I didn't consider this brand over the Graco seats. Cushion and belts are much better than my 4 n1 Graco seat. Lower seating position making it easier to seat my child. Very well built and sturdy.

I switched from Graco to this one once my child moved to forward facing, but that wasn't my plan. I initially bought this as my airport/travel chair, but when it arrived and I felt how heavy it was, that was out but I decided to not return it and I'm so glad I didn't. My child is long and I felt she looked cramped in Graco. So when I changed her position, I took the Diono to the fire department to install (if you don't know, they do this for free) and they said that Diono was the creme de la creme, the best in safety. They said the weight adds value. They installed it SO TIGHT, that I feel soooo secure in the event of an accident that the baby will be alright. They said it's a bit difficult to install, but it was worth the work. It is the last seat I'll buy bc it lasts until 120lbs. It's slim in the car. I'm so pleased and the color is cute!! ... show more
