I flew two trips with this and another seat. It is heavy for flights, but I managed, also fairly quick and easy to install in a plane seat. If flying with it again I would devise a way to lock it folded up and to carry it as a backpack. Usually it is installed in a full size truck and I like how it looks and is easy to get in and out of for my 4 almost 5 yr old. There were 2 features I purchased this for. The narrow construction that allows for 3 carseats side by side. It took 2 of these and another narrow seat to fit forward facing in a Saturn ion. Second is the all in one. Won't need to buy another seat or booster. If used rear facing, these take up more room than other seats. They are tall, plus the angle make it difficult to fit in a small car with a tall person in the front seat. Would not work for an infant in my Ion. I also like that is very sturdy. There's lots of metal in the construction. Feels safer. The trade-off is that it's heavy. But that's not a concern unless moving it from car to car all the time. Have only used as a forward facing carseat so far. But I like all the options that it can be used for. There are less expensive seats, but having to buy a rear facing, then forward, then a booster ads up. May save money in the long run if starting with just this one all-in-one. On the other hand, the dedicated infant car seats that can detach are super handy for going into stores without unbuckling your baby. Something to consider. I purchased this car seat when I didn’t have much back seat space. I was able to fit this car seat into my car unlike a lot of other car seats. I appreciate that it saves on space but still seems quite durable. It does not come with cup holders like most car seats these days, however, I was able to purchase a separate cup holder attachment which has worked great. The seat is easy to install, and my child is much more comfortable in this seat as opposed to some other leading competitor seats. I wish I had bought this seats for both cars! ... show more

I got this for my youngest who sits in the middle with booster seats on each side for her brothers. It is narrower than the one it replaces and I really like the red color and design. It looks like a high quality car seat and feels premium. It looks great and fits great in my Range Rover Velar. Overall, I like it but there are a few things to consider: PROS 1. Great looking design 2. Premium feel 3. Easy for my 4-year-old daughter to buckler herself 4. Narrow 5. Comfortable for my daughter CONS 1. It's VERY heavy. If you have to take this seat out from time to time, that might be a concern. This is for my car but my wife would never go for a seat this heavy. It seems like it weighs twice as much as the older Maxi Cosi seat it replaces. If the weight of the seat is a concern, avoid this one. 2. There is nothing intuitive about installing this thing. I had to watch a YouTube video just to find the installation instructions. I'm not kidding - they are hidden in the back fabric and housing. Once you have the instructions, they are not much help. This illustrations are professionally drawn but hard to understand. Even getting the various straps out of the back plastic housings is tricky. ... show more

I loved it because it was a very easy carry for me to the airport as well. Unlike other heavy car seats that take up too much space .. or lighter car seats that are uncomfortable and fragile as well. In adding a third child, we needed to add a third seat to the back of our Ford Escape. My older girls were both using Britax Advocates, but there was no way we were going to keep those and use our Graco SnugRide. I did a lot of searching for "narrow" seats -- I knew I wanted to have a harness, no arm rests, and preferably no cup holders. I chose this one, and was impressed by the compact size of the box when it arrived. It was heavy, though. There is some assembly/configuration required. Lots of rules about the size of your child and proper setup. (Not impossible to follow, just not as simple as unboxing and installing.) Most importantly, though, it fit! Specifically, the Britax Advocate is behind the passenger seat, the Diono is in the middle spot, and the Graco SnugRide is behind the driver. Perhaps even a bit of room to spare. Very relieved. I have been spoiled by other brands like Graco and Britax -- I've never had a harness that had to be manually readjusted. It is not hard to readjust the Diono harness, but will involve removing the seat from the car, which seems like a hassle. The seat also doesn't feel nearly as plush or padded as the Britax. My other concern is the height of the harness. My daughter is almost 4.5, just hit 40 lbs, pretty average height. I am using it in front-facing harness mode, and she has to have the harness through the top slots. I am afraid that she will grow too tall for the harness long before I'm ready for her to be without it. All in all, though, it does what we need -- fit in a tight spot yet still offer a harness for my child. ... show more
