My kids enjoy the seats. They are built well. Solid seats. I saw some complaints about missing cup holders. There is actually convenient storage for these under both seats and that’s where they were for me.

I scoured the internet for slim carseats and it was hard to find up to date information. I learned that a vehicle's bench width is called "hip room". The Suburban and Tahoe both have 49.4 inches of hip room. So I set off to find the slimmest measurements for the carseat itself. I didn't take into account how they fit together. Some have bulky pieces on the front end of the seat that don't work well with others. When I found these seats that work like puzzle pieces I knew I was on to something. I already had a Diono forward facing car seat for our Jeep (which also has no room in the second row). So my forward facing car seat is slim but not made to puzzle piece with these booster seats. I will tell you that the two boosters do not fit in my third row with a Graco transitions/wayz. That was the forward facing car seat i already had in my third row. I now have enough room to safely seat my family for the upcoming arrival of my fifth child (who will be in the second row). Thank you for reading.

My own kids are grown but I thought it would be wise to have spare booster seats just in case. These were easy to assemble and are also easy to use in one's vehicle. Love the black color choice as it won't show stains.

Anyone who has researched car and booster seats knows that Diono is a trusted name. They are probably best known for their slim design which allows for 3 car seats/booster seats to sit in the rear row. This package comes with two backless boosters. They are convenient to carry to and from the car with its built-in handle. The booster seat cover comes off easily and can be machine-washed. The armrests need to be attached to the booster seat. Please note that once the armrests are attached to the booster, they cannot be removed. The cup holders are located on the underside of the booster seat. These can be removed once they are put into place, but I felt they didn't easily slide off. Each booster seat comes with two cup holders, but if these boosters are going to be put side by side, you shouldn't attach all the cup holders on. The backless boosters will only fit side by side if only one cup holder is installed between the two seats. It is less than ideal that the kids might have to share the cup holder, but necessary if you want to fit 3 across. Some of the other reviews say these don't fit 3 across, but they are using their 2 diono backless boosters with another car seat from another brand. These boosters are only guaranteed to fit 3 across with other Connect3 boosters, Radian® convertible car seats, and adult passengers in most mid-sized sedans and up. I have a Chicco Kidfit Zip booster seat already installed in the car and didn't have a problem fitting 2 Diono Connect 3 R backless boosters next to it. These booster seats are narrow enough to fit 3 across as long as your third booster/car seat is also narrow. Ideally, you stick with the Diono brand to ensure you can first 3 across, but some other combinations are possible. Diono also makes a version of this backless booster with LATCH anchors (connect3 rxt). Which you want to buy is based on personal preference. Personally, if I were to have 3 booster seats in a row, I would like at least one of them to have a latch. Otherwise, the 3 seats move around too much when the kids are not occupying them. But from a safety standpoint, boosters with and without LATCH are equally safe according to the Center for Child Injury Prevention Studies (CChIPS).

I have 2 kids, 6 and 8 years old. They both used the heavy duty britax convertible car seats when they were younger, and although those could theoretically still be used by them for a while, they both felt it was too tight and not very comfortable. I then switched to the Graco boosters which can be converted into backless boosters when they get older. I planned to use those until they outgrow them. However, I saw these Dionos available and wanted to give them a try. In comparing the Diono to the Graco, I would definitely say that the Diono is a bit more comfortable due to the additional padding on the seats. This 2 in one packaging is also a great value for this brand. Lastly, the overall quality feels more durable than Graco. Do note that these require some very basic assembly. The arm rests are not attached, nor are the cupholders. I honestly don’t know why these didn’t come attached as the packaging has space for them. My best guess is that some people might not want them in to save space, so it was easier to keep them detached, and have people attached them as needed, rather than having people figure out how to detached. Overall, the car seat looks and feel great.
